@@zentember Marie must be someone else, because I haven't been racing since SGGP. I love the design of the Xenomorphs and the early Alien movies. And I'm convinced that there are other intelligent creatures somewhere out there in the vast expanses of the universe..It would be foolish to think otherwise 🙂

i think nintendo envisioned ray either being ranked out or front running in the hardest lobbies. It's kind of shocking our community has not made machine tier lists for each gp and each track even. Though I know top players have no trouble citing which machines are good for which tracks. I think Daizen thrives as a ray in the current meta. Rays just have to abuse the skyway and yeets and memorize all the optimal launch points

@@Master_A1 I would like for the ray to be able to barrel through the crowd at top speed without getting bumped backwards. For memes, give it the original fzero zipper speed.

Back-Bumps are integral to the combat aspect of the game, but an adjustment for the invincibility frames seems reasonable

It would have been the smarter play. I would have been able to avoid the bumps from the pack into the rails and get closer to 2nd or 3rd place for a short while, with more players taking the spot with Skyways moments later, which "might" have been dangerous, but definitely safer than just conserving energy and not boosting while not having much protection (what I sadly chose to do) Same could be said about Lap 1 on Port Town 1. I should have boosted at the magnet area, but was too afraid to end up not having enough health for Lap 3 and 4 (I'm confident in saying that in Lap 2 a Skyway would have kept me alive). Instead I ended up not boosting and between the left magnet and rails, lost Speed, got bumped and drove right into the corner of a wall. I made mistakes. And doing mistakes with the Stingray in a Power Lobby is a death sentence.

I tried to collect enough Sparks to have the Meter all ready after the last turn, but accidently hit the golden Bumper and then wanted to brake-boost through the dirt. Instead I got on an early Skyway, at an unfortunate angle, losing placements in the blink of an eye. You can't afford to make any mistakes

Thanks for those tips! I also like the one at 5:55 where you spin shortly after a grey to get speed back, never thought of that. I'm learning Stingray right now as the last machine, since acceleration is really important there, I'll definitely remember those tricks. ;)

There's nothing to be found in terms of story telling or conveying messages in this video. Just a generic montage-type video with some useful or exciting moments. @@Master_A1 Oh thank god. I was super disappointed in it for a second. You set the bar for your death race videos real high for me. they've both been brilliant so far, and I've been looking forward to the third piece for a while now. seeing a new F-Zero vid from ya got my hopes up. Awesome gameplay BTW, would mess up at least half those manuevers. especially that grey car hidden behind the bomb car. I had to rewind to catch that one.

Golden Bumpers don't appear on the Remix Courses, I'm afraid

It ate some hours, but it's rather that I haven't been in the right state to get anything F-Zero related done. I wanted to get the 2nd part of the Skyway Guide ready back in November

I feel like I couldn't raise all the info necessary for a proper Golden Bumper Guide-type of summary Does the footage that was presented to you show 4 Golden Bumper spawn on White Land I, or was is just showing them driving around? The time a Golden Bumper stays on the track is another thing I haven't measured, and it would be interesting to know if those Bumpers all spawned in one lap or if they endure several Laps before going back to their home planet ✨🌌. I thought about the possibility of differences in stacked lobbies compared to low populated ones (with lots of COM racers). Also I don't rule out the possibility of differences in Golden Bumper frequencies between private and public lobbies. 🤔 There's still a lot waiting to be uncovered! Do you remember if the footage you saw was from the latest version update?

Hmm, at least I didn't notice differences between the Checkpoints in private Lobbies with COM players. Everytime a Golden Bumper appeared, it was when the leading player reached the same spots on the respective tracks/laps in all races. But if what you say is true, then there could be several human players at different Checkpoints causing Bumpers to appear. Can you link the videos in question? Another thing I wanted to add is that almost all the footage in this video was recorded during Grands Prix (in private Lobbies with just me and 98 COMs)

All the footage in the video is from the latest update version. Most of it from private Lobbies with CPU Battles. During the last weeks I can't say that I have seen more than 1 Golden Bumper on Silence, White Land II or Fire Field in online races, all at the end of the first Lap. So I assume that it was changed.

If you notice any differences in your races regarding the spawn rate of Golden Bumpers compared to this video, please let me know
