Scathes are very impractical. They shoot missiles very slowly and the missiles can easily be destroyed by turrets or units. It is a waste of resources aswell because all that carbide you are using to shoot it could be used for something better like increasing your power or economy.

it takes a ton of carbide very shot, and gets blocked by conveyors. ig it can be good for defending against large groups of ground units, but it's generally kinda bad

@@HungryCloud I think there might also be a rule to not have turrets that have enemy cores in their range

@@fireflower_sys There is no penalty for having turrets that can shoot at enemy cores. There is core radius though so you can't build in enemy cores.

Yes, actually (bore speed x booster x 8 bores) is exactly equal to the max throughput of a duct but due to how they unload onto a duct there is a slight inefficiency with the 8th bore. It doesn't actually matter though since it turns off when it's not in use meaning it's only consuming power and hydrogen when it's actually running

I would also argue that with good micro the locus gets even better since it's easier to micro 2 locuses over 6 stells. They scale better then stells do too since 3 stells take way more space then 1 locus

Not to mention the have the exact same production time too

to both Jacob's replies yes and the upgrade from stell to locus is noticeably cheaper than a second stell if you have lpb set up i'd rather rush locus than bother with making stells (unless the stells are produced before they can be upgraded)

@viethoangvu1149 I'm not sure. You might not be in the official mindustry discord server. I'd try joining that and see. It might make you authenticate your discord account before it gives you access to the channels. I'd try that and if it's still not working let me know
