So glad I found your clip. No hot water and message low pressure. Your instruction so so clear thank you.
Thank you so much for your comment. Really appreciated. Happy Sunday 😊
How do I remove the holiday setting
Thank you so much! Instructions clear and works like a charm
Very helpful Clear and detailed to solve problem Thank you
Rubbish boiler. Keeps regularly failing with this error code.
Hi, just about the best boiler on the market. I would suspect you have a faulty pressure sensor, cheap £25 part. Good servicing will keep your boiler happy for years.
Hi we have same probleme bar 0.0 but we don't have vlave down only one valve medium compin
Possibly one of the handles has broken off
My model only have one valve (ecotec classic) and doesn’t recharge when opening, start sounding like filling and the pressure rise little bit and them drops, I am desperate
good video - the time to make changes is crap on this , if u dont 'enter' within a few seconds it goes back to its home ... nuts.. STill no idea how to set the HW temp on my Boiler ..absolutely bonkers
Thanks for the video. You helped a lot. This is the most complicated system I've ever known. I think they've made something much more complicated than is necessary. Feel I need a PhD in the Navien operating system. An expensive mistake of a purchase but will persevere. The connection to the mobile app is a battle in itself. It just doesn't happen.
I have to agree. Ypu can have a much easier app control fitted relatively cheaply. I would recommend Drayton Wiser.
Good video thanks
Thank you
That you soo much for sharing. I was able to solve my boiler by watching you video this evening ❤
Thank you so much for posting this, I had no hot water but just been able to fix it thanks to your video ❤
Thank you so much
Can a Navien boiler run without a thermostat? Ours doesn't have one and when switched on it constantly heats the rads and wont turn off. Great video by the way. Thanks for sharing.
I have this exact same problem! I don't know if it's because the thermostat smart plus meter is in my kitchen, which is an extension on the house and very cold most of the time - especially at winter. It's really annoying, why can't you just turn the heating (radiators) off and on independently? Seems like the only options are on, or auto (thermostat based). 😕
@@jacknaylor1759 After phoning Navien, it turns out these boiler are designed to work with a thermostat. I bought one and this solved my problem. I turned the freeze setting to zero and can now turn the heating on or off from the stat. Hope this helps. my boiler is the NCB300 28k running on propane.
very clear explanation - thank you !
Brilliant mine lost pressure due to me bleeding radiators later had no hot water to tap search found this videos absolutely brilliant save me a call out did everything the video showed and got hot water again 👍🏾
I have only one valve i dont have a second one what should i do? please help i am freezing
Does your boiler have a fold down door as in my video?
@@davewellsheatingengineer yessir it does
@@davewellsheatingengineer it is not the exact model as yours but it is also vaillant
I have a similar boiler same make, but an only have one valve 😢 house is freezing.
Hi does your boiler have a flip bown cover to see the display?
Thanks David for the vid
Thanks mate.
Thank you
David Wells, thank you a lot for this video... It happens this week-end, I have not emergency number at hand, anyway, my understanding of English spoken is not great, yet, and even for Scotland, right now, the weather currently is pretty cold, 12 degres Celsius, 53 Farenheit today so again, thank you from my cats and me...
Am I the only one who doesn’t have any of these valves I literally have nothing just pipes 🤷♂️
Your boiler probably doesn't have the drop down door on the front
@@davewellsheatingengineer it does have the drop down door there’s just no valves or nothing to turn it was only installed last year
You need underfloor heating to can reduce flow temperature . And you need decrease your heat load also . In other way you can’t reduce flow temperature , because will be cold in your house .
Not at all, most radiators are over sized in the UK, due to better insulation since the advent of heating in the 70s My home runs rads at a 40c flow temp and my wife like a steady 23c
@@davewellsheatingengineer But the Heat Load ( heat loss ) will setup the flow temperature . With oversized radiator you can reduce the flow temperature , of course , but in the end the heat loss it’s the most important factor .
@luk5827 running at a lower temperature keeps the boiler running in its most efficient mode (condensing) it also increases reliability, we see it on every service, expansion vessels don't loose pre charge, combustion chamber clean, AAvs not crusty or leaking.. I could go on. Running where possible (dependant on property heat loss and emmiter outputs permitting) is without question a far better way to use a heating system
@@davewellsheatingengineer I’m agree 100% with you ! The target it’s to run the boiler as lower flow temperature as possible . But this depends of house heat loss value , depends of heated surface of house , outside temperature , inside desired temperature , settings of gas boiler ( maximal power of gas boiler need to be limited from parameter settings ) , gas boiler modulation range and so on . With radiant heating ( underfloor heating ) and a Passive House you can have a really low flow temperature .
Which chemical use
Kamco FX2
Thank you saved the day
Hi ours has gone into holiday mode and can’t find how to turn it off😩
Hi did you manage to find an answer to this? Having the same issue myself!
Hi , mine too, and I have no idea how to turn it off ,please help 🙏🏻
@@alkak2064any luck? Have the same problem
Is not working for me is staying still
You need a engineer I'm afraid
Thanks David. How do you reduce the pressure if you overfill?
Hi Either find a drain point or vent a radiator keeping a jar or something under it
Mines only got one valve and cant find other one
Same problem with the unitower model, somebody can help? Impossible to find the 2 knobs 😢
Thank you so much for sharing . Appreciate it so much! Having this problem now! Clear and easy to understand
Thanks!
Hi Dave Magic.!!!! Done topped up within 5 seconds. You are a gentleman. Thanks for your time and effort to share your help and experience. John
Good afternoon, I need a diagram to connect the thermostat and valve of the Navien machine, please
I am doing that but the boiler keeps dropping water won't stay in the tank
Hi Dave where’s the air settings video mate?
Hi I will see if I can upload tomorrow. Should point out that the air control is very very minimal, makes very little difference, unlike a standard pressure jet boiler
Thanks so much. Best video on UA-cam
Is the video for the controlling the air flow available mate?
Thanks for the great help, had the same issue, no water pressure, did what you showed and got boiler working, top man.
Happy Sunday 😊
Hi, I have a valiant eco tech that keep coming up with water pressure fault. British Gas have been 3 times First time they replaced the inverter valve as it was leaking but this didn’t solve the problem, 3 weeks later I called them again and they replaced the pressure sensor and few weeks later had the same problem so I called them again, they came and changed the pressure settings so i don’t have the f75 fault but again few weeks later the issue reappeared. No visible water leaks around the house or any damp patches etc. What else could it be ? Appreciate your help 😃
Hi I assume your boiler is losing pressure (or at least the display is saying it is) Does your boiler have a pressure guage on the front? If it does does it read approximately the same? F75 pressure can not be adjusted, it is what it is.. The causes of F75 are leaking pipes, radiator valves and joints, it doesn't have to be much to reduce the pressure low enough for the boiler to go to fault to protect itself. Check all your radiator valves for any signs of leakage, this doesn't have to be wet but sometimes shows a crusting around the valve. It can also be a leaking Auto air vent in the boiler. It can also be a pump inside the boiler starting to fail. The boiler needs to see that it had enough pressure in it before it does anything, if not you will get f75. If it says there is enough pressure it will then operate the pump, the pump should generate an additional .3 of a bar pressure, if it doesn't it will fault to f75. Get a good vaillant specialist or call Vaillant (or me if I'm in your area lol) Best wishes
Hello. Your video is clear. I did the same thing and nothing change. I don't know what can I do
I would suspect a pressure sensor fault or fill valve fault. Call an engineer to repair
Thanks so much for sharing this. Super clear video. Woke up this morning with no hot water and no heating and feared the worst. Watched your video and all fixed! Awesome - thanks!!
Our boiler is a ecotec plus and it doesn't have those white valves underneath the boiler, instead what we have is a filling loop upstairs next to the immersion heater. An engineer installed it and taught me how to do it, I've done it many times before but this time it's not doing anything when I turn the screw on the filling loop metal pipe. Any ideas why it's not working this time?
Hi Post a photo 📸 of what you have
my vaillant eco tech pro 236/5 from 1.3 bar cold rise to 2 bar when heating is on.Do i have to leak a radiator to reduce pressure or is it ok? The boiler heats 9 radiatos for about 110square house.
1.3 rising to 2bar isn't awful. I would leave it at that but get a heating engineer in when you can to check the expansion vessel pre charge and also if the system needs an additional expansion vessel (all depends on volume of the system but a good engineer will work this out )
@@davewellsheatingengineer thank you very much. The vessel was pumped to 1.5 bar before 2 months. I leave it as you adviced me.
@Metco81 did they empty the expansion vessel and leave it open when testing and recharging the pressure? It must be done like this.
@@davewellsheatingengineer yes he has drained the water inside and then pumped.
@@Metco81 check with you engineer. May need additional expansion
Thank you Mr. Wells 👍🏻
Thanks for saving our lives!
Thanks. Just saved my partners parents for a bit until the plumber comes later to check for a leak.
Thank you, good luck with your leak.. check around radiator valves.. it really doesn't have to be much for the pressure to drop
Thanks for your video! Saved us from a freezing cold day
Excellent.. it is blooming cold 🥶
Thank you. I surprised myself. Easy to understand. Problem Solved in minutes.
Brilliant well done.. every day is a school day
