So You Wanna Fall In Love Like The Movies, AGAIN?!
WE ARE SOOO BACK. Back in LOVE that is... Thanks for your patience everyone, it only took my 470 clips (and counting) TO MAKE THIS PROJECT! So hopefully that effort was enjoyable at least, if you learned anything, it's probably that I stutter quite a bit when formulating sentences on the fly.

Yeah, those don't look like AI, it has that weird frame thing, but the cinematography looks intentional, and that's something you dont get from AI. I'm not sure how to explain it.
I'm in my mid-50s and I remember what stop-action/rotoscoping/matte painting/animatronic puppetry/forced perspective, etc. looks like, as well as early CGI (think of the first "Tron" movie). Maybe if you're of a certain generation you're so used to so much computer-generated eye candy you assume it's everywhere and get too lazy to look any deeper. Also, we've all seen how AI-generated imagery is improving, and how it can be used to express a wider range of human expression. It may look like this (6:01) now, but soon it will be close enough that you won't be able to tell the difference.
5:30 Which is funny of them to say, because AI looks the way it does because it‘s trained on human made art. It‘s not true intelligence and it‘s not truly creative. It‘s like they don‘t even understand the underlying technology of their beloved AI, they‘re getting high on their own supply. And 😂😂 at your AI video examples because that is exactly what was I was thinking. A bunch of uncanny valley nonsense.
Honestly people that ask if it’s ai most not watch cinema. Because that film looks fire, also is it A24 studio? Like cmon fam. Where the critical thought
That’s what I’m saying man wtf look at the source!
This movie was truly the most camp I've seen in a while. And I enjoyed it SO much because of it. Don´t think that was Coppola's intention, though lol

@@unclassedmedia I hate that you’re right 😔
There's a 'twitter competitior' called Blue sky, which is open source- meaning that its code is open to everyone and is improved by the people that use it. Since it's run with the goal of being a social network, and not making profit(beside what it needs to host server costs, which aren't too much), the user experience is more prioritized. I would try checking it out.
your videos are such a treat tbh,, the editing always matches the pace of the jokes and the way you incorporate the opinion of "the other/internet" in little sketches is very well done and also very engaging. thank you for posting!
Thank YOU for watching 🥹🫶🏽
You're a legend
It’s definitely on my..”rental” list
This movie is what happens when you give a 80 something year old cinematic genius enough coke to kill a rhino and tell him to make a feature length perfume ad… and I fucking love it. It truly doesn’t make sense, but I absolutely love this movie. I sat in the cinema and it felt like a pleasant fever dream
You really helped me understand the story because every time the characters had dialogue my eyes glossed over in the theater
You and me both… the old English accent was killing me
This is criminally underrated. Just found this channel and the potential it is showing is off the walls. The quality of the set reminds me of CJ The X and the discussion is meaningful, unique and humourous. Loved this video on a misunderstood but still flawed movie, and I can't wait to continue to support this channel

Took me weeks to eat h this one fully because it is a confusing topic for me. But it was worth it. The part at the end when you get real threatening, it somehow made me wonder if anybody would defy you 👀 not me, I'm a coward. But I'll watch!
dude what kind of women have you dated?? YIKES
Hi. I'm happy to see that someone brought up this topic-whether Barbie is perhaps a greater movie than Poor Things. While both films are great in their own ways, with different focuses, I’d like to share my thoughts, even though I’m four months late to the "battle.")) I don't think Poor Things is primarily about womanhood or female identity as shaped by Bella. Instead, it’s first and foremost about the social construction of identity, with a heavy emphasis on men determining what women should be. Bella's journey is a series of encounters with the outside world-learning about social expectations, poverty, taboos, and the stigmas surrounding sexual freedom. Bella is created by Baxter, whom she, unsurprisingly, calls God. He decides that the old Victoria dies and that the baby gets a chance to start over. But why not let the baby live and grow up on its own? Perhaps to preserve Bella's beauty and quickly shape her according to his will? Yes, this will is more benevolent than Victoria's husband’s desire to control and dominate her, but Bella is only alive and free thanks to a patriarchal god. She then ventures into the outside world with another male chaperone, less mature but still controlling. In the book, the subjectivity of the world is excellently portrayed through the letters of Bella and her companion, which arrive separately. This is lost in the film, where we get a bird's-eye view. Perhaps the super unrealistic surroundings are meant to represent this subjectivity, but it doesn’t quite achieve that goal. Bella later breaks away from her lover only to find her "sexual liberation" in a brothel-a stigmatized, male desire-driven industry. It's a very limited version of liberation, and this aspect of Bella's journey is given disproportionately heavy weight in the movie. The explicit sexual scenes don’t seem centered on female pleasure; instead, it feels as though the story is made by men and for men. We see female liberation depicted as empowerment within a male-dominated industry. This theme continues as Bella becomes a doctor, infiltrating another male-dominated area of society-perhaps with the potential to change it. So, one woman's achievement is portrayed as a huge leap for society. While this isn't entirely wrong, it does feel like an early feminist achievement. As you rightly point out, these struggles and achievements may not resonate with the right audiences. The most important point the movie misses is the final recursion. When you read the last chapter, you realize that the entire story is invented by Bella's husband, likely because he couldn't accept her agency and his own marginalization in her story. You suddenly realize that you’ve been tricked by an unreliable narrator! It should have seemed strange from the start that we learn Bella's story not from her, not even from an "impartial" third-person observer, but through her husband! This turns the story of female liberation into one shaped by men, where Bella has to be rewritten from scratch to be free. In reality, Bella is the one who took charge of her life and choices, using the resources of power available around her-men, you can't deny that. The real takeaway from the book isn't so much about the liberation of women or womanhood, but about recognizing different narratives and perspectives as subjective representations of reality-female reality-and understanding who is the storyteller of your life! However, the fact that people are discussing the film as being about sexual liberation suggests that the film may have missed the mark. Barbie is not a perfect movie either, but I agree with you that it is much more grounded in present reality. It offers a distinctly female perspective and completely reframes the male narrative. Comically, we might say that while Poor Things is about men shaping female reality, Barbie attempts to reframe the male in more feminine terms. Given the sacredness of this topic, it's not surprising that Barbie is facing such backlash! And it's not surprising that Ken is celebrated more than Barbie, as he represents a man whose role is reconsidered in the story. In the book version of Poor Things, we discover that a man reshaped the entire story to position himself centrally in Bella's life, and we have to reverse-engineer the events to imagine them differently. Barbie takes a more straightforward approach, with Ken being the side character in Barbie's story who, importantly, is given a chance to evolve and find his own way. The male characters in Poor Things don’t seem to have the same opportunity to evolve; it’s only Bella who manages to thrive in a male-dominated world. Ken’s transformation feels fresh and modern, while Barbie’s development may seem more dated, similar to Bella's. But perhaps this is the new age, where women finally reach a position where they can shape reality according to their values. This is one of the many ways Barbie feels superior. I can't delve into all the details that Barbie got right, but it brilliantly depicted the gap between the reality of young girls-when you believe you have all the possibilities in the world-and the journey into the real world, where you suddenly discover that there’s something suspicious about how women are positioned and treated. If you're able to see it. And let’s admit, not everyone can see it. My husband's reaction to America Ferrara's dialogue was quite revealing. "So why is she making such a big deal about it? It’s not only about women!". It can be a universal truth, but we only see things as universal when they’re delivered by men about men. If it’s by women about women, it’s seen as only applying to women, as if women are not representative of humanity but instead a special representation of womanhood, whatever that means. So, I believe Barbie is more about humanhood, as envisioned through a female lens-yet, the one that society may have equipped us with, but nevertheless, it's what we have and it's where we must start. And Barbies being an advertisement for Mattel? Well, even in highly censored societies, authors still manage to sneak great liberating ideas under the guise of propaganda, and I think Barbie greatly succeeded with that! Ps. I think Barbie served as great advertisement for a movie than the other way around. Without the corporate money and popularity of the dolls we wouldn't have got such a great movie.
Salt burn was the worst movie I have seen in my whole life
