I really like the preset option and the sus/latch of the mako R1, but the Fathom sounds better and even easier to achieve good tone immediately. They should have re-use Fathom algorithm in the Mako

Thanks for the excellent demo without talking. Nice mic selection as well. I returned the Fathom as it sounded hissy to me. Haven't tried the R1 but I believe it has a higher audio resolution so might sound better in person.

the fathom definitely sounds alot more surreal and dreamy to me. while the R1 sounds more techy and grounded lol

Attack/Decay is one of my favorite pedals. Nice to see it paired with another "tape" effect. I'll have to try it with my DD-8 set to tape to see what happens.

That's actually pretty amazing. One thing I don't like much about the Particle is that it sounds a bit harsh and unforgiving sometimes. Changing the attack with the EHX pedal softens it, creating some really lovely tones. Thanks for the inspiring video!

The proco has something in the mids that make it sound fuller than the Black Secret. The notes seem to bloom a little more. At half the price it's probably good enough for most people.

I like the walrus on the slower settings but long plate on the dark world is so cool.

Is this the most recent firmware?

Most of the demos I've seen of this pedal sound very dark and the reverb is almost in the way kind of like how the Helix reverbs were. Is this on the newer firmware? It sounds really nice, thanks for sharing.

Nice!, thinking of getting this for some sound manipulation stuff. It reminds of sounds I got out of the Line6 DL4.

Such a wonderful delay pedal and all of EQD products are so musical. I sold my Avalanche to go toward a Plethora X5 because I needed a “must haves” all in one multi so I could make room for the weirder, more fun pedals.

Must have an Attack Decay pedal. Such a unique wonderful pedal and the fuzz alone is worth it. Is there an octaver in there too? BTW, who is playing the guitar? Please identify yourself. An actual great player.

I have the R1, it's good but they could've made it even better. The swell knob is pretty much useless because I have a volume pedal. There's way too much diffusion/overdrive/reflections. Wish it could do some Strymon Nightsky stuff, or the source audio Ventris stuff, or the GFI system stuff. I'll still keep it on my main board. But to be honest, for 500 Canadian dollars, they could do better. I love the hold function tho. I'd give a 7/10

very unusual. i wasn’t really expecting to hear such a playing in a video demonstrating rats. but you’ve got serious chops man. consider incorporating that style with heavy guitar and drum sounds and i would pay for that music haha cheers

Nice demo but after owning the R1. There’s just too much of a ringing sound in the reflections as there’s too much pitch information. It was really weird and just wasn’t very pleasant in my opinion. .
