In 996 hours of DRG as of current, I've only run into 2 toxic players on separate occasions who were hyper critical of my play style, weapon choices etc., treating their public open lobby as if it were a ranked competitive counterstrike match.
Very good video, one thing though, I think music is a tad louder than it's supposed to be. Specifically in the intro it's a bit hard to hear what you're saying
Important detail with rock and stone that you missed and I see used quite often. Approval, most people at least say r in chat but sometimes you might just ping the MULE when you're done and others might salute to show that they are ready
There's also the beer. You can't really be mad at people who raised their beer to you before drinking it - especially if you end up with explosive farts sending you flying around the room, to give you just one example.
Man deep rock Galactic has gotten a lot more toxic. Guys like the pan of doom and shin dedicate all there time trolling on drg since there isn't a effective report system.
You can ping other dwarves for unique voice lines, ping all kinds of weird stuff that's not relevant but funny, or continuously ping certain items for even more unique voice line interaction with Mission Control. Also when you press X or LB during the escape part of the mission your dwarf will change their voice lines to encouraging and semi-directional.
Even Dark Souls had a weird honour system and a social aspect that wasn't just killing each other. When you had seen and done it all in the main game, the multiplayer component was what was left, so you just wanted to have fun together. Funny how well implemented multiplayer works.
please don't take this as bullying or toxicity but your background noise is too loud and distracting. It doesnt help that you're pretty soft spoken as well.
Deep Rock's contextual pings are also a helluva lot more convenient than navigating a scroll wheel, which makes it more tempting to use it even in intense situations. It's so seamless that there's no reason not to keep doing it.
Even when I had zero pub experience, just fresh joined, completely blind start, I picked up on ALL of the V-key's utilities INSTANTLY, it is THAT recognizable, fucking genius!
Takeaway: if you provide convenient, fast and and contextually valuable means of communication, you eliminate most dwarf-to-dwarf communication conflicts before they even happen. Bonus takeaway: most people are actually okay, they're merely bad at understanding each other.
"How These Devs Tricked Players Into Being Nice to Each Other" Unless you are playing Scout and there is a driller or engineer in your team... Unless you llike lootbugs... Unless you die and there is a gay dwarf ra*ing you... Unless there is someone who will join and kill everyone... Unless there is someone who is mad at you without a reason and just kick you... Unless... Yes... DRG isn't toxic at all...
ive only recently started playing deep rock galactic, in one of my round i joined a squad, did their sub mission single handedly and they kicked me afterwards :(
Yes its very fertile ground for toxicity No mic mute or chat Friendly fire is always on No one can agree when its time to move to next phase. R R .... waiting .... waiting Experienced players are mixed w noobs and get frustrated - WHERE ARE YOU GOING DRILLER??? Someone is off chasing minerals during a swarm. Never understood Nitra, you have to pay mission control in order to get resupplied Its a fun game but has its die hard dont mess up my experience players as well
1: no hub for the words biggest toxicity 2: funny voicelines 3: mission control usually says that, if not then you usually just spam X 4: as a former roblox player, don't be rough on the noobs 5: ever heard of running out of ammo mid-swarm?
When I’m rocking and stoning with the boys I only think when I’m talking to them. I randomly do the rock and stone emote without any thoughts through my head
I will add two things. All my dwarven homies hate Leaf Lovers If you order a round of Leaf Lovers Special, you're getting booted from the lobby no matter how cracked you are
Really good video. I felt like your voice was a little too quiet to the music but not video-ruining. I once had a scout player shout at an engineer player for not putting platforms down. I told him to calm down but he ignored my responses and began calling him slurs so I kicked him and the rest of us "rock and stoned". That's probably the only toxic thing that's actually occurred in 300 hours of gameplay and it happened over 2 years ago which goes to prove how few and far between these toxic moments are.
The only toxic moments I have in this game is when we're all pinging were rich and someone deposits the gold before we had all 4 pings on it for a few seconds... 1 time the traitor even got kicked and to be fair I want really sorry for him
I usually play this game solo cuz I like playing at my own pace, but everytime I play online its pretty chill. I only had one toxic experience and it wasn't even towards me, and coming off of League of Legends its like jarring how chill DRG is
THAT’S IT LADS, ROCK AND STONE!!!!

Metroid music is top notch
What is the point of being toxic if you just can *ROCK AND STONE!*
Great video. But lower down the background music when you're talking.

STONE!
i used to dislike this game because of the brainless rock and stone quote in my gameplay, but now i get it, ROCK AND STONE BROTHER

i love toxic games and it doesnot hurt to have a toxic game here and there

6 minute video that gets straight to the point? subscribed

IF YOU AINT ROCK AND STONE YOU AINT COMMIN HOME
Even when I had zero pub experience, just fresh joined, completely blind start, I picked up on ALL of the V-key's utilities INSTANTLY, it is THAT recognizable, fucking genius!
Tbh I think the competitive aspect of most games brings toxicity, DRG isn't competitive so that's why there is barely any
Dude's first video was a banger, and he dipped
i fucking pressed v key when you guys all entered the drop pod... jesus christ.

0:46 Learn how to balance audio my guy.
Great video, but can I suggest turning down the background music just a smidge? Otherwise it's 100% ROCK AND STONE!
Rock and Stone Brother o7

Great vid, but imo music too loud to hear the voice well.

+ every ressources are shared, so no competition or "you took my gold!!!!"
And friendly fire is so easy to do in this game, and there is absolutely no punishment for doing so, yet it’s not a problem.
When I’m rocking and stoning with the boys I only think when I’m talking to them. I randomly do the rock and stone emote without any thoughts through my head
I don't know why but I feel as though drg is just better without mics
love the zero mission music in the intro
I will add two things. All my dwarven homies hate Leaf Lovers If you order a round of Leaf Lovers Special, you're getting booted from the lobby no matter how cracked you are
All while creating 4 distinct classes that work together and have there time to shine
just like how TF2 did with their 9 classes (excluding sniper, fuck sniper)

Make the background music next time a bit more background, else nice video
Bro just stole Sir Swags video idea.
