The salmon soup looked lovely! We have a similar fish soup, called Cullen Skink (the original recipes was from the town Cullen, NE Scotland) using smoked haddock instead of the salmon.

The gorgeous sunrise you saw on your morning commute reminded me of one I saw in Seattle, WA along the Fremont Ship Canal with the orange sunlight reflected on the water and downtown Seattle's window across Lake Union. Dear Mochi seems most curious about a live tree indoors and all of the ornaments too., which the princess must approve with a sniff. Love the tree, here in Canada people want a bushy full tree but I prefer the shape of your tree, it is what I remember from my childhood in Europe. Your individual decorations look as if they have been collected over many years and each tell a story I bet. Lovely. Mochi is a superstar.

you and Mr J picked out a beautiful tree and it looked magical all decked out for Christmas! I buy a potted fruit tree every year to decorate, this year it is a Moro blood orange. Then it gets planted outside in our yard. I have a nice little orchard now but running out of room. Merry Christmas to the three of you!
