Crees que me salga el arco de fuego de forma rudimentaria y primitiva? 😮
@@Primitive_Legacy93d looks like you do some great things with fire making. Very nice! 👍🏼
@joshrobsonwildcache gracias por las palabras.. aunque todavía soy un novato😭👍
Ese hueso de la vaca en particular funciona muy bien como empujador 😮😮
I am so confused
@@jonathanaguilar-ju2du what are you confused about? I just like to experiment with friction fire & always like a challenge.
A bottle with a divot, who would have thought it. I always thought that the old fashioned caps that you removed with a bottle opener would work in the palm of a hand, but with these modern pull tops, I doubt it.
That’s a cool idea. I’m sure that would work as long as the metal doesn’t get too hot in your hand. Might need to use some kind of barrier, like a glove or leaf etc.
You have very good form
@@ethanjamesgarcia3914 thanks
Cheer~~~a trap for catching birds or animals, typically one having a noose of wire or cord.😊
Nice job.
Thanks
@@joshrobsonwildcache⚠️ God has said in the Quran: 🔵 { O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous - ( 2:21 ) 🔴 [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. ( 2:22 ) 🔵 And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful. ( 2:23 ) 🔴 But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.( 2:24 ) 🔵 And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally. ( 2:25 ) ⚠️ Quran
Looks like deer poo
Wow I like this Idea 💡 I never thought about it ❤
In some areas, a can is easier to find than a stone with a divot. Thanks for sharing this idea, Josh.
This is so awesome. Sego
Beautiful! That was quite a distance for hot dust to fall! A great example of a how to bow drill for dummies, lol! Laughing because I bet the author never imagined such good use of the book.
Lol. It was a pretty thick book.
Thanks for showing the whole process and not cutting it to make it look like it didn't take you very long.
Never seen someone use that side of the plow before
Was that with natural cordage
@@ethanjamesgarcia3914 not on this one. I do have a wild plant cordage bow drill friction fire playlist.
Getting the ember is an amazing feeling
Man you should have more subs. You’ve made lots of good videos
These must be a lot bigger and person cause they need to fit a few people
That worked amazingly well .good job, thanks for the info
@@jessydoris5937 thank you. 👍🏼
Having the bow low seems to work very well for you.
Nice observation. Yes, it is a preference of mine.
Now that was fast ❤
Super 😮
Beautiful filming of a well matched set in the hands of a master!

Looks good! What wood is the hearth board?

You are the man
Watching you I saw that I need to be more patient with my fire starts
That is really thinking outside the box, well done.

Your videos are always a reminder for me that it's ok, and even better, to slow down and relax. I get in a hurry and tense up when I do this and it almost always counteracts what I'm trying to do. Awesome stuff once again, man!
@@CentralOhioMoose thanks brother!
Great work! Your timing is good, I like that you don’t rush it. I have always liked that you show by action with few or no words. It comes through loud and clear to me. A Top fire crafter!!!
@@gregelston8926 that’s nice to hear! Thank you I appreciate it!
Awesome video, thanks for showing what kinds of wood to use.
@@SurvivalBrothers thank you, you’re welcome.
This was awesome thanks for sharing, dogbane is on my bucket list
@@PaleoPassion thanks! Dogbane is one of my favorite wild plant cordages for bow drill that I’ve used.
@@joshrobsonwildcache do you have any other recommendations for natural bow drill strings?
@@PaleoPassion Dogbane, velvetleaf & nettle are the best wild plant options in my area that I have used. All of those will produce multiple embers before breaking. I do have a wild plant cordage bow drill playlist on here if you want to see some more options. Deer rawhide is natures paracord & works great too.
Great job
@@flashish thank you
Thanks Josh! Do you think it would have been possible to use the same wood as the spindle for the fireboard? What species of tree was it?
@@gregelston8926 both the spindle & hearth board were cottonwood. The hearth just wasn’t as degraded so it was harder.
Enjoyed, ya just never know till you push those limits 👍
Great video. Loved it. I recognize so many plants that I’ve never paid attention to in the past. Thanks.
I like it. Very practical.

I love the way you show the whole trap in the opening then showing how to make it. 👍👍

Nicely done! Is deer antler harder than coyote bone? I was amazed that drill worked without a stone tip. Last night I made some deer antler fishing lures. I'm going to try them tonight!
@@CampfireKodiak this particular bone was. I find that the larger the animal, the stronger & thicker the bones are. You can also soak the bone in water to soften. Awesome! Hope the fishing lures bring success. Fun stuff!
@@joshrobsonwildcacheThey worked! I've caught three Dolly Varden so far! I had to really work them though.
Thank you. That was good.

Thank you! Seeing the plants as if you are on a hike is extremely helpful! This video is packed with excellent information. ❤
@@tarajoyce3598 that’s awesome! Thank you!
A Big fan from western Nebraska, Josh. You give so much information in your videos, without a lot of chat. It gives verification to the old saying, “actions are louder than words!” I loved how you took us through the complete process, up to the ember, and how tenderly you worked with the wind to bring it to flame. If that isn’t enough, you showed how you can put the ember back to sleep with bar hands and a couple green leaves. What you taught me? Good Timing, conditions, materials, experience all contribute to the creation of healthy new life.
That is always great to hear! I’m happy this video was helpful. Thank you for the kind words & the feedback. I appreciate it!
Grazie! Preparazione ottima per la salute e tempi difficili 2 2Tim. 3 : 1--3 ❤
