I got lucky and beat Tinykin just 2 weeks ago, I tried to guess which games were leaving. I think resident evil 2 might be on the chopping block in January and I haven't even started it yet.

That's a fantastic game! Around 8 hours for each campaign plus there's B sides to each campaign so lots of replayability. I think the next games to leave that I need to beat on advance are tales of Arise/Symphonia and the outer worlds.

Metal hell singer is great. (it's in another video) iShouldn't take too long to beat, took me two playthroughs to get to the last boss. The boss was quite challenging, took me two days to beat em, but the song was my fav.

@@conkerreloaded8686 lots of games but lots of mid games. Extra is worth it for the Sony exclusives alone.

@@thebigaverage-jordanspeck9045 red dead we knew it would be 6 months but Horizon was unexpected. We thought Sony first part titles were safe and would always be on the service.

@@Texasdanger5 Oh that's Teardown, which is leaving this month. I should've put it in the video as the must play but I don't think there's enough time to beat it. Dang, now I really wish I talked about it in depth! I love that game. Has so many mods too, I might buy it if it goes on a steep sale.

undeathlive@@undeathlive you're actually early which is good the thing is you can't cancel. Cancelling is just stopping it from renewing. So if you cancel even a day after subscribing your trial will end in 3 months. They removed the auto renew button is now a cancel is don't renew, it's not an actual cancel. So I'd get just a month to be safe so it expires a week before black Friday. Or don't chance it and wait, cuz the discount is sometimes only offered to brand new members.

@@jamesverhoeven8769 thanks so much. I'm proud of my thumbnails. Haha. Some take like an hour to make. It takes time and effort because I like to beat the games before I talk about em. But it's hard to compete with similar channels who just pump out content daily with Ai scripts, Ai voice overs and Ai thumbnails. I can do at most 3 videos a month. Also my stat related videos do the best. Maybe I'm just attracting people that love data and excel spreadsheets as much as I do. Thanks for taking the time to comment it helps a lot.

They expected everyone to upgrade to extra cuz the monthly games were mid at best but extras been killing it for a while.

It shouldn't be that hard to just have it an option that can be toggled off. They already have it implemented in other parts of the game, I don't see why they wouldn't be able to be like 'you know what, we already have a character you can talk to to get hints, maybe we shouldn't interrupt the player EVERY TIME there's a puzzle to make sure they know what to do'

Yes, never buy it at full price. Just play some free to play games to keep you busy for a month or two and whatever game came with it. The deal is only offered to new members.

I don't think anyone will play it, people forget that the beta released and it was free and servers were still empty.

Maybe all three games combined are worth $45. That's a huge asking price for a free game every month. Most indie games, even great ones are not even $20.

@@silmaril-g If you bought the game, it'll stay in your library. But if you downloaded it through the extra catalogue, then you'll lose access to it when they remove it from the catalogue. Any game you download through the extra catalogue is just rented. But it'll stay in the store and you can purchase whenever.

They removed Spiderman and Horizon so first party titles aren't safe anymore. I'm worried about Ghost and Death Stranding. Both have sequels coming next year.

Thanks so much. I'm happy we've got similar likes. I'm trying so hard to avoid essential monthly games but it's hard when they drop a multiplayer heavy one because servers are full right after the drop, sometimes you wait a year or two and it takes so long to find a game do I feel like I miss the hype. Although that's no excuse for me to actually finish powerwash lol. What are your biggest games left on the extra backlog. For me it's disco Elysium and Tsushima. I hope I beat em way before they remove them because a months notice might not be enough.

@@OliveOcelot very true with multiplayer games. I rarely play multiplayer anymore, but I'll make an exception for some. And power wash got me too! Something about that game really grabbed me. So chill. There's still heaps I wanna play in extra. Deliver us the moon, dishonored 2, judgement, life is strange collection, Wolfenstein 2, soulstice, metal hellsinger, a hat in time, shadow run collection, grime, miasma chronicles, plucky squire, cult of the lamb, etc. But my must plays are ff crisis core, no more Heroes 3 and resident evil 2 which I plan on knocking out for Halloween. Disco and ghosts are both amazing. Definitely jump on them before they go. Disco Elysium in particular because there really isn't much like it. The writing and setting is just stellar. I bought it not long after it came out and plan to do another playthrough at some point. I put it right up there with outer wilds. Came out of nowhere and became one of my top games of all time. And ghosts was one of the first games I played on extra. I don't think it does anything special, very similar to a lot of open world games, but I think it's the best open world game out there. While a lot of open world games have been stagnant with the genre, ghosts really takes the formula and perfects it. Someone else described it as the best Ubisoft game ever and I think that's a great description. Absolutely stunning game. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on them.

It's way too long, especially if you don't love it. But it's a fun podcast game to just chill and enjoy the scenery. The main controversy with my list was putting until dawn lower than other similar games. It's supposed to be the best of em.

Was your backlog essential games or games that you actually bought?

But I have a lot more still on it - just games that ain’t for me: so will upgrade again soon but I’ve not missed it, even took out an EA sub for 1 month to get star wars survivor and dead space (yeah I know…), cost me £0.99 haha. Why pay more when you can pay less and have a similar experience!

I usually focus on short games on Ps plus extra. There are a few videos that have a ton of games. I did make a 3 part tier list video, so skip to the end to see what the best of the best are. At least the 100 that I played, still have a few more s tiers I haven't played yet including ghost of tsushima. Which will probably get removed in the next month or two.

@@OliveOcelot Yes great videos I’ve already watched then fully but I was thinking of more full fledged reviews instead of brief ones Like a whole video dedicated to a single game. You’ll get a lot of content out of it and these reviews tend to gain more views You can even make it a series of reviewing every plus extra game!

​@AliG-g7b1khmm I started the channel with game reviews and would give them stars but it's hard competing with ign and dozens of well established ones. I just dropped a review of plucky squire just for you and to test to see if I do a new game and now have more followers if people cared about those type of videos and sadly the experiment failed, barely a 100 views. I like niche video recommendations though. Like top horror games on extra, top coop games, etc. More ideas like that. I want people to stumble on my channel when they sub to extra but don't know what to play and get exposed to new games. Problem with game reviews is they already have to know the game and actively search for it instead of me recommending a game they hadn't heard of before.

That sucks about your saves. I still have my ps3 and games so I never saw the draw of premium. I might downgrade too once I complete my extra backlog, I'm 80% there if they don't add amazing games the next months.

Horizon Forbidden West has only graphic. I tried to go for the Platinum, but I can't. The story isn't good like the first one

It's not worth the platinum, just play the game, speed to the flying mount, then do side missions if you feel like it. Before the flying mount it's too laborious to walk everywhere for side quests.

That's similar to fast travel right?

Should be the same. They use a similar internal ssd for the base ps5.

Have you seen the Alien movies? It's so good, I'm happy I got a head start on it and it doesn't seem too long. Although the save system is killing me. I sneak quietly for 30 minutes and then don't save in time and have to do it all over again. So after the third time, I just speed run through it and hope I get the pickups later. I'm leaning towards Disco Elysium leaving next month, either announced or sneaky last minute announcement. I feel like that's a really long game and I should start asap.

@@OliveOcelot I've seen all the older alien movies, but not the newer ones. I've heard the latest one is really good though, so I'll check that out at some point. Yeah the save system is my only frustration so far. I waste time running back to old save points cuz I'm scared of what's ahead. But it's a great game though. They nailed the atmosphere. Disco Elysium is amazing. I bought it a while ago, so I'm not worried about it, but I highly recommend playing it before it leaves. A lot of dialogue, so it can be pretty slow at times, but it truly is a one of a kind game. I hope you get to play it before it leaves.
