Captain Doug Beattie has completed 13 deployments. An amazing man which can be read in his published book "A Soldiers Storey"
27 YEARS OF MISERY FOR NOTHING IN RETURN
NEVER PISS AROUND WITH TRUE IRISH BLOOD CITIZEN @ 01:20
Yet Ranger McCormick was not even recognised by the British Government he fought and died for. SHAMEFUL.
What an amazing job Royal Wootton Basset did.

Top man ,stand at ease, stand easy . Duty done sir .
Seeing a mother totally devastated is a very hard thing to see
The repatriation of fallen service men and woman was done through RAF Brize Norton until 2007, when the airfield needed construction work. The airfield used then was RAF Lyneham, and the mortal remains of the fallen were transported from there along the High Street of Wootton Bassett. The local branch of the Royal British Legion began to honour the fallen during transport through the town by lining the street. Because of this, RAF Lyneham was then designated to receive all repatriations and the town was given the Royal title , making it Royal Wootton Bassett, by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2011, and the official Letters Patent were given to the town council in October 2011 by The Princess Royal, Princess Anne.
✌😪
How superb u r wootton Bassett royal I must say well deserved many thanks
One of the most moving and harrowing days of my life. From the first tolling of the tenor bell, the whole town stood and time also stood still, nothing was sold, no money changed hands. Seemingly all everything stopped. I wept openly, a man of 70 years. I weep every time I see this.
they liveth on
This s heroes in Britain and terrorist in Afghanistan
both soldiers in that video are true heroes. one helped save his comrades, the other saved innocent children. Heroes
1LOVE clear the way
Sky Walker
Congratulations Cpl Rushe, you not only helped the little Girl in Afghanistan BUT you have inspired a hell of a lot of children and in my experience there is no greater reward or appreciation, apart from seeing your own Children Born, than that of a Child! and her Father. My Squadron Motto was "Non Solum Nobis" roughly translated as "Not by/for Ourselves Alone"
Thank you ranger. Stand easy.
The 2 Bushes Major Blair and All UN and Supporting Govs. Drugs war machines economics etc sorry its CRAP..........Nothing learned nothing gained.....

Mike Carson, is this serious or am I being an idiot and missing a joke of some kind?
It's possible that Mike Carson thinks that "Ranger" McCormick is a US Army Ranger.
@@alexl5949 me to im at a loss to, if its a joke, its a bloody sick one...

The reverence is so impressive. The people of Bassett should be proud.
Such a simple, moving ceremony.

Possibly One of the hardest things in life, to bury your child, in any circumstance but what a turn out and show of respect by the Towns people
So sad..
Every person that pulls on her majesties uniform is a hero, but you sir are a hero amongst hero's. Well done and thank you.
this is insanely emotional...no words.
Thanks for your service mucker and may you always REST IN PEACE
Who is the guy in the front with the top hat
Respect to our soldiers and to those that have lost there lives, and up yours to all those that get offended, buy this god bless our soldiers 🇬🇧✝️
Who is the man walking in front of the formation of cars? Please? Is this a kind of ritual?
That's a funeral director or undertaker, its an old tradition in england dating back to when we used horse and carts, but now a days its good as it slows the cars down and he can tell the cars to stop if family want to lay flowers on top of the car but also leads the procession
Thanks for the reply, Scott. This looks kind of creepy, though
RH31NL43ND3R the Funeral Director is the lead of the entire Funeral, he is also the main point of call for the relatives of the deceased, we only walk in front of the procession at the start of the final journey (funeral home, family residence) and at arrival to a destination (chapel of rest, cemetery, family home) it is a very sombre act and does come across as rather chilling to some.
I'm not 100% sure but I think it dates back to around the 12th century.
Yes. My parents had it at their funeral. It is rare that they walk all the way. In my parents, the man got out of the car and doffed his hat at my parents' home.
I'm not a father but I imagine that the only, and I mean the only thing that could offer any comfort after losing a child would be that they died doing what was right. Rest well all of our brave fallen.
Is the guy with the cane and top hat a British funeral tradition?
Well they did it at my Dads funeral..nothing to do with him being a British champion
It's what undertakers usually wear here.
He called the officiant and ball bearers follow behind, its left over from old days when it was horse and hearse and they didnt have to travel far from chapel of rest or from home to burial plot, so the officiant would walk the whole way there, not only a sign of respect it kept horses in check and on the right coarse aswell...
Much respect , from this American.
Good man
