    Tesla’s trajectory would likely depend on a mix of domestic policies, international trade dynamics, and Elon Musk’s ability to navigate potential challenges. While a less favorable regulatory environment for EVs and renewable energy could pose obstacles, Tesla’s strong market position, global reach, and Musk’s ability to innovate make the company well-equipped to adapt. Musk’s relationship with Trump could range from opportunistic collaboration on mutual interests, like job creation or technological advancement, to public clashes over conflicting priorities like climate change. Ultimately, Tesla’s fate would rest on its ability to remain a global leader in clean energy innovation, regardless of political headwinds. HOW YOU THINK ABOUT THIS .... Let Us Know in Comment

    The Honda Civic slightly edges out the Toyota Corolla with performance, driving dynamics and more interior room, but the Corolla is still a solid, diehard reliable car like the Civic, with longevity like the Civic, but majority if them a bigger percentage of N/A ICE engines, now that the Civic have turbos on their performance models and hybrids in rheir upper trims, though both Honda and Toyota have reliable Hybrid vehicles.

      @VehicleWisdom The current Corolla, Civic and HR-V with the N/A ICE 2.0L engines with proper maintenance and care can be expected to last 300-500K+ miles. Mazdas are up to that level in quality, too, plus I believe they are working with Toyota now. Lots of car models in the past used rebadged vehicles from other brands. I could go on with a list, but you have the Ford Ranger/Mazda 2000 series pickup trucks, the Explorer and Navajo SUVs, and many others. Do you remember the FWD square and more rounded Chevy Novas that came out long ago? They were Toyota Corollas. Also the old Honda Passport and Isuzu Trooper boxy SUVs. I forgot off hand what the other ones I knew are.

    Good video! Always recommend to friends/family/co workers to spend a little money and get Car IQ Report for reliability ratings on the vehicles they are considering. Honestly if you are spending 5 figures on a vehicle, do as much research as possible. Also, I know Subaru gets dinged over their engine reliability, but the new generation of boxer engine is pretty good, and every mechanic out there knows how to work on them. That should be considered when shopping for your next car.

    • @VehicleWisdom

      an excellent approach to car shopping: conducting thorough research, considering reliability, and factoring in long-term repair ease. Subaru’s newer generation of boxer engines demonstrates meaningful improvements, making them a more reliable option than past iterations. Your suggestion to look beyond sticker price and consider maintenance, mechanic accessibility, and long-term durability is sound advice for anyone shopping for a car. AT or CVT transmission?

    • @VehicleWisdom
      @VehicleWisdom 2 дні тому

      @@ajaykusumo7417 The choice between an Automatic Transmission (AT) and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) depends on your driving preferences, priorities, and the type of vehicle you're considering. Both have advantages and drawbacks that cater to different needs. Choose AT if: You prioritize performance, durability, or towing capability. You value the traditional driving feel of distinct gear shifts. You're considering a sports car, SUV, or truck where torque handling is important. Choose CVT if: You prioritize fuel efficiency and smooth driving for commuting or city driving. You're considering a hybrid or smaller vehicle where efficiency is key. You don't mind the less engaging feel of a CVT. For daily commuting or maximizing fuel economy, a CVT may be the better option. However, if you want a more traditional and performance-oriented driving experience, an automatic transmission will likely suit you better. Always consider the type of vehicle, your driving habits, and how long you plan to own the car, as these factors greatly influence the best choice for you.

    All of our vehicles are Toyota-built, although none are badged as such. We have a 2005 Lexus RX 330 @ 236,798 miles, a 2006 Pontiac Vibe (=Matrix) @ 200,037 miles and a 2006 Scion xA @ 277, 017 miles. I bought the Scion 6 years ago as a spare for $1200. It's showing its age; most of ithe clear coat is gone and the driver's window goes up (very slowly), unless it's raining or 27 degrees out, then even slower. It runs like a top though, has no rattles and the 5-speed manual transmission is a blast to drive. The other three look and run great. It's hard to part with them, as they're not worth a whole lot due their high miles. The newest addition to the family arrived last week, a 2010 Lexus RX 350 with 123,000 miles,. We decided it was time to replace the '05 RX when the estimate to replace catalytic convertors and brakes was about half of what we paid for the car 5 years ago. It's going to be strange having a car payment again, but just $300 for 36 months. A similar model new is $57,000+. Nope.

    • @VehicleWisdom
      @VehicleWisdom 4 дні тому

      vehicle choices demonstrate the value of Toyota engineering across multiple badges. From the practicality of the Scion xA to the luxury of the Lexus RX, your fleet shows how reliable, well-maintained vehicles can provide outstanding service for years. Your decision to upgrade to the 2010 RX 350 is a logical next step, offering modern features and continued reliability without the steep cost of a brand-new model. Keep enjoying your rides! ability to maintain vehicles to such high mileage suggests excellent upkeep. Continuing to prioritize oil changes, timing inspections, and cooling system maintenance will help your new RX 350 perform similarly. At high mileage, it's practical to evaluate repair costs relative to the vehicle’s value. Major repairs like catalytic converter replacement often justify upgrading to a newer vehicle, as you’ve done with your 2010 RX 350. Future Considerations: Keep an eye on typical wear items for the RX 350, such as water pumps, valve cover gaskets, and suspension components, especially as it approaches 150,000 miles. And Thank you so much for sharing the "User Experience "

      That Scion xA has the Toyota 1NZ-FE engine that was used for 20 years by Toyota in several different cars like the Toyota Yaris and Toyota Echo. They have developed a track record of easily lasting 400k+ miles with just basic maintenance. If you want yours to last don't forget to change the engine coolant, transmission fluid, brake fluid and power steering fluid every 50k miles.

    I always prefer civic to corolla past and present

    • @VehicleWisdom
      @VehicleWisdom 4 дні тому

      Historically, the Honda Civic has been known for its more engaging driving experience, especially in sportier trims like the Civic Si or Type R. Its suspension tuning, handling, and responsiveness often appeal to drivers seeking a more dynamic ride. The Toyota Corolla, while reliable, prioritizes comfort and ease of driving over sporty characteristics, making it more suited for those who value a relaxed driving experience. Engine Options: The Civic typically offers a wider range of powertrains, including turbocharged options (e.g., the 1.5L VTEC Turbo in modern models), which deliver better acceleration and fuel efficiency compared to the naturally aspirated engines in most Corollas. While the Corolla has introduced hybrid variants for efficiency, the Civic tends to dominate in terms of raw performance options. preference for the Civic reflects its strengths in performance, design, and technology, which appeal to drivers seeking more excitement and engagement. While the Corolla is a fantastic choice for reliability and practicality, the Civic consistently offers a more well-rounded experience for enthusiasts and everyday drivers alike. Your choice makes sense depending on what you value most in a car!

      The corollas without the cvt transmission is the best automatic car, it beats a honda civic thats automatic. But a manual honda civic is better than a Manuel toyota corolla. Hondas make the best engines and Manuel transmission, whilst toyota makes the best automatic transmission and 2nd best engine.

    I have a 2013 Altima with the 2.5L and its at 190k and going strong. No work other than routine maintenance.

    • @VehicleWisdom
      @VehicleWisdom 4 дні тому

      The 2013 Altima is powered by the 2.5L QR25DE inline-4 engine. This engine is well-regarded for its balance of performance and fuel efficiency, delivering around 182 horsepower and solid torque for daily driving. The QR25DE engine is equipped with a timing chain instead of a belt, which eliminates the need for periodic timing belt replacements, contributing to lower maintenance costs over time. 2013 Altima's reliability is an excellent example of how routine maintenance directly impacts a vehicle's longevity. With continued care, you can expect many more miles of dependable service from your car. Well done, and keep up the great maintenance habits!

    I had the 2013 Honda Accord with the 3.5l V6 earthdreams engine. It has a known problem with the piston rings. I replaced the first engine at 100,000 miles. The second engine started showing signs of excessive piston ring wear (oil analysis). I got rid of this car for a Lexus ES 350. I’ll never own a Honda again.

    • @VehicleWisdom
      @VehicleWisdom 4 дні тому

      "2013 Honda Accord with the 3.5L V6 EarthDreams engine": Engine Overview: The 3.5L V6 (J35Y1) EarthDreams engine is known for its high performance, smooth power delivery, and Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) technology, which improves fuel efficiency by deactivating certain cylinders during low-load conditions. However, the integration of VCM in this engine has been linked to reliability concerns, particularly with oil consumption and piston ring wear. 2. "It has a known problem with the piston rings": Piston Ring Issues: Excessive oil consumption in the J35Y1 engine is often attributed to premature wear of piston rings, exacerbated by the VCM system. Deactivating cylinders during operation can lead to uneven wear and increased oil seepage past the piston rings. Oil consumption caused by this issue can lead to low oil levels, engine knock, and, in severe cases, engine damage if not addressed promptly. Technical Implications: The piston rings are crucial for maintaining a proper seal between the combustion chamber and the crankcase. When these rings wear out, it can result in blow-by (combustion gases escaping into the crankcase), oil loss, and reduced compression, impacting engine performance and longevity. Honda faced class-action lawsuits over VCM-related issues, though some remedies like software updates to manage VCM activation were offered. 3. "I replaced the first engine at 100,000 miles": Premature Engine Failure: Engine replacement at 100,000 miles suggests significant wear likely due to excessive oil consumption. If oil levels dropped too low, it could have caused damage to internal components such as the pistons, cylinders, and bearings. Regular monitoring of oil levels could mitigate damage, but addressing the root cause-piston ring wear-was a challenge for many owners. 4. "The second engine started showing signs of excessive piston ring wear (oil analysis)": Oil Analysis Insights: Conducting an oil analysis is a proactive and commendable approach. Excessive metal particulates or contaminants like fuel in the oil are clear indicators of piston ring wear or blow-by. Persistent piston ring issues, even in the replacement engine, reflect a design limitation rather than isolated bad luck. 5. "I got rid of this car for a Lexus ES 350. I’ll never own a Honda again": Switch to Lexus ES 350: The Lexus ES 350 is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.5L V6 (2GR-FE or 2GR-FKS), known for its exceptional reliability and smooth operation. Unlike Honda’s VCM system, Toyota’s V6 engines do not use aggressive cylinder deactivation, reducing stress on the piston rings. The ES 350’s reputation for luxury, reliability, and a more traditional powertrain makes it an excellent alternative to the Honda Accord V6. Never Owning Honda Again: Your frustration is understandable, given the repeated issues with the same problem. While Honda generally has a strong reputation for reliability, your experience highlights a specific flaw in this particular engine model. Technical Observations and Recommendations: Honda V6 Issues: The VCM technology in Honda’s V6 engines has been a known source of trouble for many owners. Disabling VCM (via aftermarket solutions) or frequent oil changes can sometimes mitigate issues, but these measures don’t address the core design flaw. Oil Analysis and Proactive Maintenance: Conducting regular oil analysis and staying vigilant with oil levels are excellent habits, particularly for engines with known oil consumption issues. These practices likely helped you detect problems early in your second engine. Lexus as a Solution: The Lexus ES 350’s conventional and time-tested V6 engine is less prone to such issues, offering a more stress-free ownership experience. Your choice aligns with a desire for dependability and long-term peace of mind. decision to move on from Honda to Lexus is well-supported by the technical challenges you faced. The 2013 Accord’s V6 EarthDreams engine suffers from inherent design flaws that impacted reliability, especially concerning piston rings and oil consumption. Lexus’s focus on proven reliability and refinement makes it a logical step for someone seeking a more dependable and worry-free driving experience.

      @ozjohn8657 VCM that what kills these J35 and long oil change interval. Need to disable VCM as soon as warranty over, if you want to keep it long. Use S-VCM, not the junk resistor type! Pretty easy to install S-VCM.

      @@hochoma1564 I really didn’t know about the VCM issues with these engines. I purchased the car for my wife because she had a long commute to med-school and I thought Hondas were reliable. I wish I knew about disabling the VCM 4 years ago. The oil change interval was not an issue with me. The previous owner might have neglected it but I changed the oil every 5,000 miles with Amsoil Signature 100% synthetic. The replacement engine had the same oil and interval. We traded the car in and purchased a 2014 Lexus es350 for our son. I’ll never go back to Honda.

    Do keep in mind that turbocharged engines will NOT last as long as normally aspirated, if that's what you're looking for. And Mercedes and Subaru being on the list is obviously an anomaly. German cars are generally money pits, and I just bet this one would be too. My Honda K24 (2.4 L) engine in the Accord is almost legendary, and there's like 18 variants of it.
