Aerith holding onto feelings for Zack in the end and discarding Cloud has not been foreshadowed at all in the remakes. You even have Zack himself explicitly moving on from Aerith in the bike and Sephiroth fight scenes and giving Cloud his blessing.

3:06 I don't hate the combat system, I feel it was just a super streamlined (or, if one prefers, dumbed down) version of the gambit system from FF12. It was super fluid and well done for what it was, but what it was kind of leaned into how much control F13 took away from the player.

I would just love to see Metal Max get any love, really. But also, the original four Dot Hack games.

Well, tales of graces F has the Steam remaster now, YAY! As for me, I would most gladly like to have Skies of Arcadia remaster, DQ 8 , Legend of Dragoon, Grandia 3.

I love dq8 but it's gotta wait it's turn, I need 5 ported with the ds upgrades/extra wife first. Golden Sun would be nice, as long as it's sped up some. Tried replaying it recently and it's just soooo slow. Skies of Arcadia-never got to play and still want to. Evolution World (full story of both games not just the gc port of the end of 1 tacked on top of 2) Okage Shadow King (with some major upgrades. the art alone makes it worth a port tho) .hack vols 1-4 as a collection (with some tweaks to vol 3&4's combat, too many resistances) it's better than GU and I'm tired of ppl pretending it isn't. Better characters, better music, way better optional characters, and a better story.

Here I am to say that we need MANY Saturn RPGs translated and released for modern consoles

FF13 a weird pick purely because you can play it with better graphics, updated textures on PC using mods and 4k60. Its essentially a remaster at this point.

The Growlanser series, two of the games didn't even get a proper translation

Staor ocean did remaster perfectly.

Tales of Hearts R plays nicely on the Vita3k emulator as does Tales of Innocence R with the fan translation.

I don't think that FFIV holds up as a masterpiece, but it's still an awesome game in it's own right. It's not one of the best Final Fantasies anymore, but it's a Final Fantasy game in the main line titles, back when Final Fantasy was incredible.

Dragon Quest 8 is a absurdly charming game. I was playing the games on order but could not help myself and skipped 3 games to play it.

Part of me finds it fitting that Xenogears was never actually finished because of a certain painting in the game which was also never finished. I wish Monolith owned the rights to Gears and Saga so damn badly. 😔

Xenogears over Xenosaga for a remaster for me. Polish up disc 2. Widely considered the game most deserving of remaster or remake

uhm while they add it i want tales of the abyss completely remastered and in hd is of course good that it is on the 3ds but this game needs more love i also hope they do something about the brighness of the game since its blinding in some places like the desert on the ps2 i cant remember how it was on the 3ds but god its just too bright!

Just watched this video and I'm surprised that you didn't bring up the wild arms games because I believe they deserve a remaster or remake especially considering Armed Fantasia was announced for PS5 to come out at somepoint in 2025 or 2026 depending on how long it takes to make

Id count the first Parasite Eve as a JRPG. I mean it's even got a magic system. But that's one of the biggest hopes I have for a remaster or remake, sequel whatever.
