SHOE LAB NYC is a footwear technology company and micro factory, which manufactures fashion footwear prototypes, sales samples and quick-to-market small batch orders.
From sketch to shelf, mind to market, SHOE LAB NYC will help designers navigate the shoe development process. With the capability to rapidly produce prototypes, sales samples and small test run production, we enable the startup as well as the established wholesale or retail customer to speed to market with shortening the cycle time and gaining a competitive edge.

El Paso Chemical Facility Averts Explosion
This is a video shot pre dawn on November 13, 2021 from my hotel window. It shows a fire and stream of smoke across the sky. Evidently it was a burnt off from a large chemical plant done to prevent a possible explosion from a faulty part of the facility. There seemed to be no news about this from the various local news outlets. A man I met the next morning informed me of what had happened telling me over three hundred thousand pounds of toxic chemicals were burn off to release pressure from a faulty system.

The video was captured, by accident, on my home video recording of my son's first birthday party. What she says is insightful and interesting in understanding her art and her approach to it. There's a quick clip of her work Siberia or Antarctica, too.

What Anna says here still holds true. I reminder when I was in high school a while ago and walking into class wearing a sweatshirt that was sky blue. And everyone else was wearing dark or very bland colors. So I easily stuck out. Instead of feeling embarrassed, I look back at that and think: Wow. ever heard of color?

Actually, this is not from 1989, this is from 1990. Anyway, I never understood the origin of Anna's accent. It's a strange accent. I know she's English, but her accent sounds unlike anything you hear in England. It's almost like an American-esque type of British accent. Received Pronunciation does not sound like this.
Her mother was American. And she moved to NYC in the mid-1970s, when she was still young -- she was about 25 y.o. -- so she's been here a very long time. Accents change. And she probably adopted some pronunciations deliberately, perhaps trying to hang on to her British accent but not quite succeeding.
