    Thank you! If a distant galaxy say 2 billion light-years away seen through the Hubble, appreaed in the Hubble lens to be visible moving transversly at say 1 km per hour across the lens view, would we know how fast the galaxy was moving in reality? Or if Mars started moving in the sky 1 km per hour transversly...? Thank you so much... Great video!!

    • @astropictionary3988

      Think of you climbing stairs; you have a lot of stored energy; your body just uses what it needs to go up one stair and uses some of the excess energy to release as heat or other energy. Same thing with electrons. When you go down stairs, you release energy and only the amount needed to go down the stairs; same thing with electrons. Why no read the textbook; it will help you with these question :D

    Thank you for explaining the local meridian. 1- Where on this diagram is the GP of the Celestial body the observer is measuring with their altitude angle? 2- Is an altitude angle measured by the observer geometric or apparent based on the observer’s field of view?

    • @astropictionary3988
      @astropictionary3988 2 місяці тому

      Geographic Position or Longitude and Latitude do3s not matter in the Local system. It is your GP where you stand on Earth that you base your local system from.

    • @LBBstore
      @LBBstore 2 місяці тому

      @@astropictionary3988 Both the observer and the geographic position are on the surface of Earth. A flat baseline from the observer to the GP on the surface of Earth geometrically proves a flat Earth and disqualifies a globe. Please search solar angles in google and go through the images and say “ding” each time you see a triangle with a flat baseline.

    Will a blue dwarf eventually direcly become a black dwarf ? Or will a blue dwarf first become a white dwarf, and then that white dwarf will become a black dwarf ?

    • @astropictionary3988
      @astropictionary3988 2 місяці тому

      Good question. You'll have to read the Astronomy Essentials textbook as the answer is too long to explain. White dwarfs are expected to die into black dwarfs but not blue dwarfs.

  • @JoeDeglman
    @JoeDeglman 2 місяці тому

    GPS clock frequency data contradicts the idea of gravitational redshift or blueshift. The data shows that once a GPS clock emits a frequency, the light maintains its frequency into a gravity well. There is no gravitational redshift or blueshift. The data does show that clocks at a higher altitude do emit a redder frequency due to the decreased magnetic flux density at that altitude vs clocks at a lower altitude. Likewise, clocks at a higher altitude run faster due to the decrease in magnetic flux density, which causes a smaller back emf onto the clock circuitry vs clocks at a lower altitude. What you are showing is not gravitational redshift but intrinsic redshift, most likely cause by atomic or magnetic flux density differences at the source where the light is emitted, much in the same way that sound is redshifted or blueshifted due to air density differences at the source where the sound is emitted.

But you haven't explained why the actual resonance (e.g. 5:3 or 5:2 etc) causes an instability that deflects/ejects that asteroid from that region. The question is: What is the physics at these exact orbits, that causes the body to not be stable?
