IMO, Jacob Collier has taken modern music, in fact all music, to a new level. Sure, Jacob has used modern technology to a new level but, He's done it on his own!!! He does the techy stuff. The point I'm trying to make is, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder would probably have relied on musical, come techy guys outside of what they were doing musically. Jacob however, has moved the musical dial with his musical talent combined with his technical skills. He's out there on his own at this time. Musos will obviously take some of his inovations and use them but Jacob is still the inovator for the rest to follow. Just look at the talent he has brought to the fore. Fabulous talent, that up until now were slow walking along in the background. Now, via Jacobs collaborations with them, they going viral on youtube, So thanks Jacob for sharing your amazing gift is all I can say.

Never saw this before. Loved the surprise video meet Steve arranged with Bootsy and EW&F. Already knew what a great and caring guy Steve is, but how quickly he got up and sat next to Ellen to comfort her when she teared up, proved it once again. Been following Ellen for a couple of years now and, as many, am very curious to see where her musical path will lead her in life. Chapeau to both her parents for raising a happy, smart, respectful and talented little girl.

His father is a classical player and Matteo grew up playing classical but transferred it to other genres including a huge knowledge of all the theory as well! I think Steve Vai said "The future of guitar is firmly in the hands of Matteo Mancuso!

The level of excellence in DCI drumming is legendary - virtuostic. It's over looked by the general hoi polloi American pop culture. Which gives it legendary cult status. The level of sopistication is difficult to appreciate unless you have some musical training and schooling.

I've followed Ellen for some time now and her progress has been formidable. If you want to be wowed, check her out meeting Steve Vai, and best of all watch her doing the duet challenge with Davie504. They are both superb. The world needs young people like this. Too many kids are brought up with the "10 minute fix" school of learning an instrument. As a pianist/keyboardist of many years, my heart is lifted watching people like Ellen play. Long may she reign.

A volte mi sembrava Eddie Van Halen...Beck...Hendrix..Gambale...Lee Riteneur, Pat Metheney...il sound fusion del primo Jeff Lorber...Mezzoforte..gli U Zeb...oppure il fantastico Issei Inoro dei Casiopea...il fraseggio ricorda Rudess o Cotra al synth..?! O a Valeriy Stepanov..o a...NESSUNO!!!! Matteo è unico...che non vuol dire più bravo o meno bravo... più tecnico o meno virtuoso... Matteo ha il suo modo di suonare, ha la sua tecnica...tutto ciò che ha e che trasmette con la sua musica è unico. Bisogna però dire oggettivamente che Matteo è di un altro pianeta, non paragonabile a nessun altro chitarrista della storia, poiché quello che fa sulla chitarra è anche solo impossibile da pensare per qualsiasi altro musicista. E chi lo soffre dice di lui che è pura tecnica o idiozie simili... Matteo ha un fraseggio anche con note e passaggi velocissimi che è discorsivo ...il suo fraseggio è domanda e risposta, è tensione e risoluzione, sempre. Perciò non parlate di tecnica ma dite la pura verita, che Matteo non suona le corde della chitarra ma racconta ogni volta unaa storia con la chitarra, una storia che solo chi ha ottime orecchie e grande anima può comprendere. Nessuno esegue il legato come Matteo, col distorsore o senza...e poi è chiaro, limpido...e cosa dire del suo suono, del suono della sua chitarra...rotondo, chiaro, morbido o graffiante quando serve. Uomini come lui sono come prescelti da Dio... È unico come Mozart... Aristotele...Dante, Einstein, Michelangelo, Paganini, Freud e altri uomini unici, di grande ingegno e anima. Matteo è Dio fatto persona...la sua chitarra è il vangelo dell'anima e nessuno prima di lui né dopo di lui avrà una tale immensa capacità di forgiare, pensare, eseguire musica in nano secondi cosi meravigliosamente complessa ma celestiale e comprensibile, trasmettendo gioia al contempo al cuore e all' anima di chi ascolta. Grazie Matteo di esistere e di farci sentire cose che ci lasciano a bocca aperta.
