Let's Bring Back the Spark! Restoration of a WWII Lighter
Hello, my dear viewers! I'm happy to present my new video featuring the restoration of a lighter found at the frontlines of World War II in Europe. This time, I came across a brass specimen, but it had severe corrosion. The flint wheel and spring were irreversibly affected by rust. If the lighter had been made entirely of black metal, it would have rusted away completely by now.
I really wanted to restore this lighter, but during the process, I constantly felt as if someone was trying to hinder me-perhaps its owner from beyond. I even considered abandoning the project, but whenever I imagined the restored lighter, it gave me the strength to continue.
After cleaning and polishing, I wanted to coat the lighter with copper, then nickel, and finally gold. However, when I saw the result with the nickel, I immediately realized that gold would not be necessary. I was very pleased with the outcome of my work, and I ask you to rate my effort in the comments from 1 to 10. Don’t forget to like and subscribe, so you don’t miss my next video!

I also reduced the wick hole since it was uneven...

Hi there! Today, I'm excited to show you my latest restoration project: a rusty cannon-shaped lighter. I bought it for just $5, but it gave me quite a bit of trouble. If you enjoyed my work, please give it a l...

Hello, dear viewers! Today, I have in my hands a lighter found in the trenches of World War I in Eastern Europe. This unique find was given to me for restoration by my friend, who enjoys searching with a metal detector. The lighter's body turned out to be very fragile and thin, so I had to add some metal using copper and nickel. I won't describe too much-you'll see everything for yourselves! I ...

Bring Back the Flame: Restoration of a 100 year old Lighter
Переглядів 21 тис.8 місяців тому
Hello, my dear viewers. Finally, I received the long-awaited package with a century-old lighter that I bought at an auction. These lighters date back to the late 19th to early 20th century, so it's quite possible that it's over 100 years old. While it was flying to me from Europe, I had already decided that I wanted to cover it in gold, as bronze tends to oxidize quickly and lose its luster. Du...

Hello, friends! Today, I got my hands on this wonderful miniature lighter, the "Golden Key." I bought it on an online auction for a mere pittance with the intention of turning it into a real golden key, covered with a layer of 14-carat gold. According to the seller, the lighter had been lying in a damp basement for a long time, accumulating a thick layer of oxides and patina. I'm very grateful ...

Restoration of a century-old ratchet screwdriver

The "Centenarian" screwdriver has an average age, as its patent was registered in Germany back in 1891, and these screwdrivers were produced until 1945. My new friend gave me this old lady after we had a glass of beer at the bar and started talking. I told him about my passion and projects, and he really liked my hobby and my channel. He mentioned that there's an old workshop on his grandfather...

I used to buy these in Australia in the 60s, very cheap, but worked very well. its a shame that yet another company goes to China.
I am in Australia, and back in the 60s early 70s i used to buy them in Woolworths when it was still a variety store, they were very cheap and came in a few different styles, the name Imco stuck in my mind , but never had a picture on them, just coloured cross hatching, thanks for the video.
Thank you for watching 😉
