    Thank you, very good video. I have had the camera a while now, nevertheless useful indeed. Strangely, I cannot change the settings from AF S to AF C. Any suggestions?

      Thanks. To switch between AF-S and AF-C, make sure the lens is set to M/A and the press and hold the button located on the AFto M switch on the LHS of the camera body, below the lens release button. Whilst holding this, use to back dial to switch between AF-s & C!

    great video, but a tip, I've got this hex plate on a Manfrotto 029 head, and that fits 90 degrees from where you say it goes, I realised this a few months ago, the arrow with Lens on it is on a corner of the plate, and DUH- for view cameras, it is safer to insert this in sideways, rather than tipping the front down!!, so this is how it works!, the lock goes sideways on your LEFT, then you slide the right edge down, open the lock, then drop the left edge down, it locks, then you press it shut, to be sure!!

    Wow this guy is destroying the film holder the way he bends it back while loading the film. At 13:34 you can see all the cracks 😢 The plastic will break very soon where it folds back and acts like a hinge. Even when you treat your holders with care they will show cracks in that area sooner or later. Its also not a good idea to leave your negatives hanging out of the holder, they can definitely get scratches from the scanners lighttable. I did the same and ruined some of my negatives. I would suggest, put the holder on the scanners lighttable, cut your film if necessary and put it carefully in your holder. Lift the black plastic layer only as high as needed. Scanning 3F is the way to go though. Just compare other software options to invert your scans. Flexcolor works ok but is definitely outdated. I appreciate sharing a workflow and am tolerant for all the different ways to get to different results but I would not recommend anyone doing this to your or anybody’s expensive equipment.

    • @WSAPhoto
      @WSAPhoto Рік тому

      Great observation! So yes, it will damage the magnetic element, although if you look closely this is cracked on fixed with tape which allowed it to bend back and is simply for demonstration purposes only, this was a video produced over lockdown to support our students learning! It has reminded me that I need to create a new video though, so thanks for the reminder!

    Latex gloves are safer than cotton IMO, as cotton tends to leave tiny particles on the film which tend to not go away even when blowing air on the negative

    • @WSAPhoto
      @WSAPhoto Рік тому

      Agreed that cotton gloves can leave particles but latex gloves are powder coated so I wouldn't recommend, powder free nitrile gloves would be better! 😀

    Good Afternoon. I am Marianne I just watched this video and found it extremely helpful. I am considering using the profoto D2 and there are NOT many videos for how to use it. If you could answer 1 question I have I'd really appreciate it. You mentioned the strobe can be used with the remote trigger. We set the remote to MANUAL or TTL but what about the strobe itself - ON THE STROBE do we have to indicate somewhere if we are using it in MANUAL or TTL mode? I am used to working with speedlights and on the speedlight you always indicate whether you are using MANUAL or TTL mode so is this the case with the profoto D2 as well? Hope you can clarify this issue for me. Thanks so much, Marianne

    • @WSAPhoto
      @WSAPhoto 3 роки тому

      Hello Marianne, thanks for your comment. When using the D2 Air you can select either Manual or TTL from the Air Remote only, the D2 heads will pick this up automatically and there's no need to set this on the head. I hope this helps.
