The modern Kerry/Mayo/Dublin teams would tear apart any of the 'great' teams of the past. No disrespect to the players of the time but the standards today are professional level. I'd say a good few of these fellas had a few pints and smokes in the days leading up to their matches.

Was there that day with my head in my hands after Michael Meehan got that goal. I missed the subsequent play until i hear a roar and i see Peadar Gardiner making a run, with the ball coming towards him and as cool as a breeze he pops it over. I was in the pits of despair and cloud 9 in a matter of minutes. Football ha?! Magic! Mayo abú.

Innocent times alright. It's mad nowadays to look back and see corner backs kicking the ball up the field just to "clear their lines". I miss that. Now it's all about keeping possession at all costs, which makes it a bit uninspiring at times. I would ban all hand passing inside your won 45 and all backwards passing inside your own half. I would welcome anybody's opinion on those suggestions.

I appreciate you putting this up, always good to look back at games like this..but, I really dislike when you get totally one-sided highlights like this. None of Cork's play (or how Mayo reacted/defended) is shown and you don't get a good picture of the game as a result.
