hello! i have a toshiba crt with built in dvd player. it often skips and pauses when the dvd is scratch free. could it be a dirty lens? i bought a dvd lens cleaner and still no luck, how can i fix it without opening up my TV?

these things are really heavy, we live in a 5-storey apartment and our house is on the 4th floor. my father was a construction worker at the time, he worked hard, and he took an average 90-100kg (230) pound crt TV up the stairs to the 4th floor, he carried it alone, I have no idea how he did it

Why do the TV VCR combos have such limited inputs and only have mono? My TV-DVD player combo has two composite inputs, one composite output, a component input and a spot on the case to mount an S-Video port along with its wiring and circuit board thing. Too bad this model didn't have the full s-video port, though it had so much other stuff as well and is all I really need technically. Obviously my TV also has a thing to plug a cable or antenna into and an analog tuner built-in. It also has a thing on the case to mount an antenna.

Nice video! I've had a couple CRT TVs from before back in the day when I was younger, but I never had one though with a built-in VCR or DVD player even though it would have been really nice to have one.

Hey there, just picked one of these up a week or two ago. Just wanted to ask if you had any followup on this monitor? I’m digging it so far, wondering if there’s any other internal adjustments or things you’ve noticed over the last few years? I don’t have an older Nintendo to test this but it looks great with some of my other systems, but I wish there was Svideo like the other versions of this.

unfortunately, the ones showing 16:9 content will end up with burn-in if they don't alternate between 16:9 and 4:3. But it looks like they are serving their purpose well!

I find CRTs still in use mostly as security system monitors. I know of 4 different locations with CRT security monitors, with both black and white and color.
