For those of you that haven't read it, in the book Wuthering Heights Cathy is haunting Heathcliff and that is the perspective the song is written in, Kate as a ghost of Cathy, hence her ghostly movements and wide eyes! "Heathcliff, it's me, Cathy I've come home. I'm so cold. Let me in your window" Wuthering Heights was the estate owned by Cathy's family. Heathcliff ended up living in it towards the end.
Kate was 17 when this came out in 78. That takes some confidence 👍

Everyone who knows this song by heart will immediately recognize that this is Kate's studio recording (both the band and the singing). In this performance Kate obviously concentrates on her choreography, while giving a credible rendition as a (lip-syncing) singer. Dancing and singing make two strands of art at the same time. I don't mind Kate focusing on one or the other.
