ok so what do i need to buy to do this? what's that strip metal thingy? the heat bonds the strap and the broken piece together?
The metal edge of a saw, and a gas cooker. Yes, the heat will bond the broken piece together.
This will only work when there is no water pressure inside the hose ,put water pressure in the hose and it will pop!! .
This repair, it will hold the water pressure just as it was a normal hose. You need to try it out in order to verify it. Thank you! Kind Regards!

thanks for posting. I saw lots of video’s with an awl repair, but yours gave me the “thermoplastic” confidence to try this method of bonding the two faces and it worked well :-)

Cheap-ass hose to begin with. Kinks and hard to coil. As for the repair, you already had a broken/cut hose to use as a donor hose for the patch.
