How to stick a permanent vinyl decal on an object

Adding a decal to a backdrop gives a very nice personalized touch to an event or just any room. Here are a few tips on how to place a large decal on fabric. Applying a wall decal to your wall

When applying a removable decal to your wall first thing make sure your wall is dust free and any oily residue like fingerprints are removed. You can use a microfiber cloth to remove dust and alcohol wipes to remove any oily fingerprints. @@mayraparedes5023 best way to figure out sizing is using a design app. I use Affinity Designer. I create the shape of the backdrop then write my words. That way you can see sizing and placement. Do I need to use adhesive vinyl if I only want my decal temporary?
The permanent vinyl will come off the wall or fabric. If you don’t feel comfortable using the permanent vinyl then you can use the removable one. If you want it on for a day or 2 then the removable one should work just fine. I use the brand Oracal.

Thank you! Yes any vinyl should stick. Look for permanent or removable. I use Oracal brand. Oracal 651 is permanent and 631 is removable. I’m sure there is a distributor in the UK. You can contact them online and search for a distributor near you.
Where did you get your large decal from?
I cut it out with my cricut machine.
Really informative and well instructed video. That decal looks like a very high quality product compared to what I’ve seen. Can you share the contact info of the vendor who provided you with that decal? I would like to buy mine from them. And what size is that decal you show in yours video?
It’s called matte rose gold vinyl from StarCraft. The vendor I purchased from was 123 Vinyl. I haven’t bought from them for a while because the shipping was taking too long.

Hello, what is the best vinyl to use to put on polyester fabric? I want to be able to remove the vinyl to use the fabric again for future use. Thank you very much!
The best vinyl I use that is removable is Oracal 651 vinyl. It is permanent but you are able to remove it from fabric.
What is the size of the Decal ?
It is 24” long and 10 wide
