    Is it considered a "logic-level" mosfet? The Rds(on) provided in the IRF520 datasheet is measured at Vgs = 10V.

    I made my own DIY IR sensor for line follower robot car. 5v from shield's GVS to my IR sensor doesn't work. I already measure the voltage from from GVS and it show 5v on my multimeter. I don't know why it doesn't work. Weak current?

    I’ve been thinking about using this module to control a solenoid using an Arduino Uno. I have watched other videos that explain how to set up the circuit in a breadboard. Apparently you have to use a diode to protect the Ardunio from the reverse current that the solenoid sends when it’s off. Does this module include such a diode or would I need to solder a diode to this board?

    we have connected a 24V power supply to VIN and GND, the mosfet led seems to be blinking implying that the mosfet is getting signal from our microcontroller, but when we check the voltage accross V+ and V- it does not seem to change, is it a faulty mosfet issue?

    If you connect V+ to V- directly, you basically create a simple, isolated switch, i.e. mimic a mechanical relay, that will not bounce if the connected micro controller reboots or restarts. In this case VIN and GND on mosfet side complete the circuit, i.e. switch control. This module was never intended to be used this way, but it does work... having the advantage of not being sensitive to control state changes.

    Have you tried it with WLED in pwm-white/pwm-cct configurations? I wonder if it flickers while dimming the non-addressable cob leds. I'm planing to connect 5-6 meters of 24V single color cob led (with only +/- pols) to this mosfet and control the brightness of the lights with WLED. My only concern is if it would flicker this way while dimming on a camera as well as a naked eye. Would you recommend this setup? Any suggestions or alternatives? Thank in advance!!

    • @brainwiredotio
      @brainwiredotio 6 місяців тому

      Hi, it can handle the TEC1-12706 but it will probably get very hot depending on your duty cycle. You probably want to look into a logic level MOSFET like the IRL520. It will run cooler and generally be a better match for that Peltier module. Good luck! -Mitchell

      Hi Friend! Apologies if that wasn't clear. G = Ground, V = Vcc (positive 5 volts), S = Sensor/Signal, this is the pin where you connect what you want to evaluate, either an analog or digital signal you need to know the status of.

    Thinking about this for a RFID electric door strike access control system as I have a spare PSU laying around and I do need a power supply that handles 12v for the electric strike, but also 5v for the RFID reader, and 3.3v for the ESP32 and this would simplify and modularize the power supply aspects of the project being able to just drop in and replace a PSU.

    • @brainwiredotio
      @brainwiredotio 10 місяців тому

      Ahh, that could be a good application. Those 12v electric door strikes pull a little bit of current don't they? I have a very small power module which I believe puts out all of these voltages but I don't think it would have enough juice for the door strike. Check out SFX power supplies if you're looking something a little more compact than the standard ATX power supply. They still use the 24 Pin ATX power connector so fully compatible with this module.

    • @Squirrelies1
      @Squirrelies1 10 місяців тому

      @@brainwiredotio the seco-larm one needs 12VDC @ 750mA so adding a few strikes will definitely use current.
