Filmed back in May I originally was gonna shoot a better one but my camera is having issues ATM. The quality of the samples varied. While some Samples were good others had cross contamination with other colors especially the large granules. Not all these samples are in the original bag. Do to the large minimum order size I split the order with a friend.

    What is better from your experience. Loose powder or with resin? Where did you get the tubes?

    • @lazerman121
      @lazerman121 9 місяців тому

      Define better? Resin is a bit brighter. Pure powder only charges the surface so if you suspend it in a clear medium it allows all the granules to glow and release their light but only if it's thick enough. As far as how I got them. I used to make these and sell them but they ended up being more difficult to make them than they were worth selling. However I am in the process of designing larger 5x100mm ones to sell.

      @@lazerman121 Thanks, I kinda expected this. Have no experience with strontium aluminate powder, but with resin I have some. I like the "tritium vial" look. So I don't need much resin, guess I start with at least 1:1 or even 2:1 powder resin mix. 👍

    What's the optimal way to get to white? Should I use the small particle "strontium calcium aluminate" white powders? I have some deep blue 250 um sand that would be brighter. I saw some large particle fluorescent doped yellow online. Could I mix the two to get white, or finally, should I get some Ce:YAG phosphor powder, apply it as a thin undercoat, and top it off with the blue to basically create essentially a paint version of an LED white light?

      @@lazerman121 I would predict a stable oil that is resistant to turning rancid would preserve them. It seems apoxy preserves the lifespan of the crystals as well. I have some Strontium Alluminate that I bought sometime prior to 2013 and it holds a charge all night every night. I use them on my light switches and doorknobs all through my house and to this day I never blindly swipe at the light switch or struggle to find the door. My next project is to do a non-skid surface on the stairs using those crystals and some form of grit with a water repellant coat. I think with imaginative use this product could enhance safety and save energy in several places in everyday life. There are more distributors than I was aware. I became brand loyal to the first place I ever found it. A site called UV PAQ LIGHT. They specialize in gear for divers and campers. One of their best items are their flashlights that use the crystal. I have one on my Keychain and I work night shift in healthcare. I can go into a pitch-black room using the flashlight and when I turn it off it stays as bright as when I had the light turned on! It amazing how much light it stores! Anyway, thanks for the video and the response. I actually just bought some loose strontium alluminate. It turns out the particles are too small for what I had intended. So I could potentially do a quasi-scientific trail with the crystals in oil. Just gotta decide what oil to use. Would minerals from mineral oil react with stronium? Would another type of oil work better? I will do some research and see. Thanks for the video and response!👍

    semplice, il led cinese non e realmente da 365nm, ma emette uno spettro dove e presente in minor quantità questa lunghezza d'onda, mentre engine led ha il picco fra i 360 e i 370 nm. i led a 365 nm costano di più e i venditori cinesi senza scrupoli spacciano per led a 365nm led che in realtà sono da 380nm ma con delle lunghezze di onda che arrivano a toccare i 365nm ma ovviamente con molta meno potenza.
