The nod it was all needed for a perfect end for lucas hood and brock relationship still one of the wholesome moment from the show.... sadly underated masterclass tv show = banshee
This series was everything. The story was good, the characters were memorable and the setting blended perfectly with the action scenes. Starr gives the outline to Hood like he gives to Homelander. I feel so empty that I finished the series, I really don't know what series would rise to the level of Banshee
I particulary love that when sheriff Brock is in the picture and nods it is synchronized with a powerful major chord but when Hood nods the chord is even more powerfull and deep, dark minor scale which is brilliant because it tells about these two characters everything without words.
If you look carefully when Hood leaves, there are two cops talking at the door who vaguely reassemble Siobhan and Emmett, Just to make it even more gut wrenching.
Most heartbreaking scene. Really good and sad same time. There so much this two break trough together but now it's time to move on. And I like fact there is no words. Just respect and goodbye. Such a good writing.
In the end, they may NOT have liked each other, but they understood what drives the other. Brock got a sense that protecting will sometimes mean going FAR beyond the rulebook he's gone by most of his life. Hood finally understood that parameters and structure are invaluable to ground and focusing a person. When he left prison he was literally nobody, not the man Ana loved, not the man Rabbit pursued, not the man Dalton trained, not even the man Job became best friends with. And becoming Lucas Hood helped him define the margins of his personality. But once Siobhan was murdered, Brock's words to Hood, "Everything you touch...[unspoken eventually in the pause] turns to blood." resonated in Hood's head. So Hood went feral for awhile. When he emerged he turned into a man of justice literally investigating like a cop and following procedure like a cop, he was a man with more clearly defined boundaries within himself.
I felt sad on ragnar's death in Vikings. I thought there would be no show like that. But this part made me felt a loss, like your close one is gone now.
Just finished rewatching this most excellent series tonight. My new final closing thought was that I wish Matthew Rauch had got some spin off series hopefully titled Burton. It would have been a show about his formative years and the bizarre things that happened to him to twist and shape him into the fastidious, yet lethally brutal killer he really was. Later on the old cast could do a guest spot as Burton gets closer to working for Proctor. It would be some hellishly bloody awful lovely stuff. Just like this show. Thank for posting this fine song.
He's like the hidden Protagonist. He's the one with the arc. In the First episode, he desperately wanted to be Sheriff but wasn't ready. He was Too "by the book" which Just wouldn't work in Banshee. He would've caved in to Proctor. But through the series, he learned the balance of when to do things by the book and when to get his hands Dirty. It's only in that Last episode that he's truly able to be the Sheriff he wanted to be.
From a gentle but violent and damaged soul who accepted his fake sheriff job as his life's purpose to a violent, damaged, hateful, megalomaniac piece of shit who fakes being a superhero that kills innocents for fun....that's range brother
Hood gave Brock the edge the sharpened tip to his foil and when they nearly died at the hands of the Satanic cultists, Brock realized that he DOES NOT have to bow to Proctor. That's why Brock firing the bazooka was such a pivotal moment for his development. It showed that Brock isn't going to be servile to anyone any more. That's why Brock realizes the cartel hitmen are coming for Proctor and happily sips his coffee.

What Brock learned from Hood was this Sometimes you have to break the rules to do justice

I love how every male character is always sent off with the dudes starring each other down and giving the head nod
the headnod is sacred and past down through our ancestors

This scene tells so much about the relationship between Hood and Brock. Although they never really liked each other, they still respect each other
fuck yeah bro you righ so much

What a fcken series! This needs to comeback! Homelander needs to become Hood once more haha
Yeah, for a series about after he left Banshee, what jobs/ identity he did/took
The fact that the FBI girl and Brock didn't sell him out and arrested him was so wholesome.
Great Show. Not much more to add than that.
I miss Job 😭
Es una Aberración que no hubiera 5ta Temporada, ¡Imperdonable!
Homelander thank u for the recognition of Banshee . Wonderful show !
Anthony Starr is best 😍

True, like saying goodbye to your only friend.. forever.
I watched Vikings before this show! Two unbelievably beautiful written shows & characters
Relief when we see all four of them survived and same time felt sadness to remember sibohn and when all four are.going apart from each other...

Me going to an interview be like: Hello, I'm Lucas hood, the new Sheriff
I love this scene because Lucas teaches Brock one thing: Sometimes, in order to enforce the rules, you have to break them.

Even though Hood wasn't an actual cop, he was still a good guy who cared about the innocent.

Good guy may be pushing it but he did for sure care.
@@dextermacher6363 he wasn’t bad
@@Davidscomix I'll just give one example. When he was robbing a place he shot a cops tires out and flipped the car. Potentially killing the dude

Truth
For real. Most emotions I’ve ever felt watching this show. It was a masterpiece.
Agree
The unnecessary sex scenes kept it from being picked up on a major network
Love the music in this scene.

I didn't even notice that! Yeah, I really think that's a nod to them.

Yes
Yo I barely noticed that
Is it just me or is this office actually staffed for once?
They got more funding after the shootout with chayton
Seemingly courtesy of Proctor who used the Banshee PD to take out his enemies whom Proctor then recruited into his own business.
Brock eventually got the sheriff position, but in the 1st season he wasn't ready for it. Now he is.

I think that Sheriff Brock appreciates Hood even if he doesn't show it because he knows he's a great man
