Local Horse Show Transport
Walking & Talking - A few weeks ago we covered how we travel internationally with our horses so let’s discuss how we travel locally. In this video, we will cover the design and features of our new local horse trailer. Key features include large, accessible doors and ramps for quick loading and unloading, rubber floors for safety, and a design that allows horses to be loaded backward for enhanced safety in emergencies.

Let's Talk About Lasers

WALKING AND TALKING!! Therapies play a critical role in our program. As with everything we integrate our vets and body worker (who is also a board-certified vet and not some random whacko) in every element. We adjust our training to reflect the horse’s specific therapies, vet work, and feeding. Within the umbrella of therapies, we use laser therapy a lot. When you understand what it does and do...

Do you have chest bars for the straight horses in the rear, amd if so, are they interchangeable as butt bars depending if the horse is backwards or forwards? I hope that makes sense.

I see parallels between the idea of a golden carpet for the most experienced riders and safe seats in politics. (I'm a trained political scientist.) It's no wonder our politics are are the state they are, ergo it's no wonder why team USA hasn't won team gold since Beijing and individual gold since 1984. If US Equestrian is serious about winning the big competitions, they need to shake things up a bit and the process has to make sense. Great video!

Wonderful perspective! It is very sad to say, but in the George Morris era of equitation and fundamental hunt seat, horsemanship was a prerequisite to the riding component. I feel we are now in a time where it has reversed and is almost scoffed at and looked down upon to know horse care, no less provide that care to the horse you are competing. We are very much in an era where it is possible to be a 'top' young rider without even the knowledge of how to tack up correctly.

I love how you retained such a simple and generally safe mouthpiece, so that even in the event this design was used in premature or rough hands, the mechanism of action is limited as to how sharp the bit may feel inside the mouth. Your explanation of the Pelham was also so precise and explanative, especially seeing how the plain Pelham has gained so much popularity in the equitation ring.

Karl, I am looking forward to the next Walking & Talking UA-cam video where you celebrate [with a bourbon tasting] the FACT that YOU and CARA are Olympic medalists. Nothing will ever change that my dear. You are both Olympic medalists, and you both did it on the grounds of the House of Bourbon!! So let’s celebrate your very special French girl, (Mademoiselle Cara) and YOU on an Olympic triumph with the best bourbon in your cellar!! Can’t wait for the tasting Karl… PS: and my family & I thank-you for making this Olympics the best ever to watch. We felt like we were watching family compete. We’re so proud of You and Cara❤❤

You make us dream as a model of hard working , progression and make it happens, entering plainly into the game... You make us believe in dreams ...We were so sad for you and your fantastic mare Caracole...We understood your deception after so much work. Sport's law is unfair, sometimes crual and just remind we are human, as that course shown it either for Martin or Henrik...Maybe you were just a bit too enthusiastic, maybe you just think one quarter of second to the result after the triple despite that course needs 300% of focussing to get the appropriate clear-sightedness. We learn more from failure. Caracole had already forgiven you and she will win so much with and for you. This is just the beginning of the story, of this adventure...

Karl, You rose to the top at the Olympics and were probably exhausted from the course and the nerves required to get that far so quickly. It’s a team sport and without you, Cara wouldn’t have had the opportunity to challenge herself the way she did. She is lucky to have the rider who can spread her wings while not pushing her too far. In addition she is so lucky to have the care that you give her. Please forgive yourself.

So my thoughts…no one bats a 1000. Look at Tiger Woods ,Tom Brady and of course Michael Jordan . They lose more than they win, and that’s the hard part of being an elite athlete, the fall. So so hard. Hang in there.

This is not the end of the story Karl...your bond is amazing and you will see, the future is bright for you and your amazing team. Go get em on the next one. You DESERVE to be there!!! Your horse's are what they are because of the amazing horseman you are. They are a reflection of us...remember that! You did complete the job...she had her moment, she also proved she deserved to be there. You will have another shot...I know it!

You went from an alternate to an ANCHOR for the team! Cara was a Queen in her city and tried her heart out to get that jump for you but just couldn't! I knew this W&T was going to be a hard one for you to put into words...but you did. I understand your disappointment for her...not you and THAT proves you're the horseman that was meant to bring her on this journey! Smile big and know there is so much more for you both!! ❤ 🐴

Karl, I don’t know you. But I’ve watch you and Cara and she doesn’t care about a silly medal. She loves you and she just loves to fly with you. It’s just that simple. She loves to fly and she loves to fly with you. That’s what’s golden to her. I applaud you for taking us along on this journey and for letting us somehow be a little part of the magic between you both.

I love how you give your amazing horses the credit and not the blame. You recognize it's rider error 99.999% of the time. You are a great example of sportsmanship and horsemanship, even in the tough moments. Thank you for being the example we need.

One thing that all top riders have in common: they are very, very hard on themselves. I follow Boyd Martin, and he is equally upset with himself if he feels he lets his horse down. This is why you guys make it to the top and consistently deliver. It’s this mentality that separates the good from the elite. So, I won’t tell you to stop being hard on yourself, because that’s not your nature, but I will say I am in awe of you and riders like you. You are an inspiration!

I have been waiting and waiting for this. Thank you for baring your soul. You are the quintessential outstanding horseman. Your humility is what makes you great. I was devastated that after being only ONE of three riders who hadn't had a rail over three rounds, the individual final saw two rails down. I was so rooting for you. Keep your chin up. You are amazing. I look forward to every one of your posts. From reins, bits, and critiques of your own rides. You are an inspiration.

Please Don't be so hard on yourself. With God's Help you be at the Olympic games 2028. Keep working on yourself. I think you are one of the hardest working people in the horse business. You know what the mistake was and you will not make that mistake the next time. If you have the opportunity come to Europe over the summer jump some competition's over here, and get it right 2028. This should be the focus for the next 4 years. So I bet on you 2028 LA. You will win that gold medal no doubt about it. Keep on working Karl.

As soon as I saw you finish the course, I knew you were upset with yourself. I knew you made a decision which you regret, and feel like you let Caracole down. That's one thing I have learned to appreciate about you in the time I've been watching you and your horses - for you, it's all about the horse. You let the horse train you - show you how you can ride them best. I'm so sad that this has hurt you so much. I know saying there will be more competitions and more Olympics - I truly believe this was only your first - does nothing to help assuage your pain. Hopefully you and Caracole will go to the next Olympics and show how amazing she is. Thanks for loving your horses the way you do. You and Caracole really did do great at the Olympics. 💓
