Thank you for your lovely comment! Yes I am singing and playing spontaneously-I use 3 chords and sing as the Spirit leads. My harp is a Stoney End double strung harp, and I really love it! The technique for playing is the same, but with one hand on each set of strings - it takes a bit of getting used to, but isn’t any more difficult to play than a single strung harp. Are you teaching yourself the harp? Can you play chords? Try playing C major and F major, repeating the progression, and begin to sing or hum. Relax and let the tune come to you. Then the words…….. Thank you! It’s a double strung harp - the cross strung harp is different again! I only had the harp a week when I recorded this video. The technique is the same as a single strung harp, but there’s more you can do - for example, you can play with both hands in the same position and don’t have to keep them apart. The main difficulty is getting used to seeing two sets of strings, which apparently causes some people to give up. It is getting easier though.

It’s hard to get used to seeing two sets of strings, but it’s getting easier with practice. There’s things you can do on the double string that you can’t do on a single string harp. Overall , I would say it’s like any instrument and takes practice. I hope that helps

It’s not solid wood: it’s hollow inside to form a sound box. The case is firm, but lightweight. I hope that answers your questions Maishu!
