Im considering this or the VWinds series. Curious, if anyone reading this have experience with both? Is CSW outdated at this point, or will it be the thing to get also in the coming years?

I keep coming back to CSS as my go to strings...they have a sound, but respond well to EQ to mondernize them in a mix, that marcato patch is IMO the gem of the library so nimble.

i'm still stuck understanding when to legato or to re-tongue or how to space the midi using little gaps properly. Been waiting for a year now for someone to make a turorial on how to program using CSB. i asked a few youtubers , and nothing. you guys should pay someone to do this. i'm so lost using this library and it does sound awesome but if i want to program something like this here. watch?v=2XBXZbvmgLc i am completely lost

As someone who played in orchestras as I’m sure many of you have…these libraries are the only ones that sound and feel like you are sitting right on the stage with them. They are my #1 for everything now. Alex is a freakin legend.

Do I have to have overlapping notes, when I use legato? Otherwise legato speed is alwasy zero...

Wow, mine doesn't behave like that at all. If midi notes overlap, sometimes it sounds amazing, but sometimes I get a seemingly random samples like string harmonics, or a gliss, or worse yet; a total chop from one note to the next. I frequently have to manually finesse it to make sure midi notes never overlap. I know I'm doing something incorrectly, but it takes hours to get anything sonically acceptable, especially with 1st violin. Triggering vibrato on and off is so unusable as it sounds clearly like two instrument samples overlapping for a fraction of a second; one straight and one with vibrato. So frustrating. Can anyone recommend a tutorial for control channels?

although its a nit pick at this point, id love if i could have different patches for the different articulations, its a bit of a pain to load the whole thing if i just wanna use the staccatos for example. i understand why its done the way it is, again, its mostly a nitpick
