Saw the on this tour They were excellent on the night I saw them I had no idea at the time that the band were falling apart. Fish's voice was still quite strong at this point. They played quite a bit from clutching at straws, my favourite album ever my marillion. Sugar mice in the rain
Bosses get There 😢hands dırty??? You must be joking! Spending your yearly wage packet!!! Ask Iron Maıden! Even the Struggling Artısts. Got penıuts! Hawkwınd & Motörhead got. Payed ın drugs!😂 backstage at Wembley at AC/DC on the bike up yer VıdııeO tour was lıke the al-perchıno-Coke. snıff scene from Scarface! Afgani!
the good old days .loved it
They flubbed the end of Incomunicado, I bet Pete T is still agonising about that,
Shame Fishes head got to massive
many memories ....87 edinburgh playhouse a highlight...great band
19:54 "Sledgehammer" from who you know.....announcing in advance the troubles coming with the singer departure from the band later on :) Sometimes, you never miss the clues.
Went to one of their shows at Wembley Arena on this tour. Waiting in traffic before the show, and this tall bloke in a raincoat walks past, head bowed. After doing a double-take, I realised it was Fish taking a constitutional before the show. The show was excellent, by the way.
Great upload.....merci!!
4-48 James LaBrie is you?.....
i remember seeing these trucks when i went to see them in liverpool royal court in 1986
This might actually be the shittest music documentary I've ever seen in my life. 1/10
I remember the Clutching At Straws show at Manchester Apollo, the rest of the band were not happy with Fish....The cracks were beginning to show! I had seen them on the Misplaced Childhood tour and it was magical! I have seen Marillion many times since, with Steve Hogarth, and they are what they have always been, a superb live band with beautiful musical soundscapes!
Marillion was great with Fish 🐟. Since he left…..Hogarth destroyed everything, for me this Band does not exist anymore since 1988. I am still listening to the Fish era albums and I love them all.
Can I just draw your attention to the fact that when Marillion were trying to write the album that became Seasons End, Fish didn't like the direction the band were taking musically. The rest of the band were not happy with Fish's lyrics either. Trouble had been brewing since before Cluthcing at Straws was recorded. When Steve Hogarth joined they just said be yourself. I have listened to Marillion for 39 years, Marbles, for example is amazing!
Hogarth allowed them to carry on.
@@progmeup I have listened to many Songs with Hogarth and I just don’t like his voice and the way how he sings. He does NOT fit to my personal taste, especially not with a band named Marillion. I have a sort of Hogarth allergy, when I hear him sing, I want to 🤮. But it’s not meant offensive in any way. Everybody has it‘s personal taste and preference.
@@mrsayang And that's perfectly reasonable. But they did create a very impressive catalogue of songs with him, which is appreciated by many people (maybe not as many as the lineup with Fish). I admit his voice took some getting used to, but without him there would be no "Neverland", which I think is one of the best songs that has ever been recorded by anybody.
@@progmeup yes...thanks for the comment. You are right. Good that you and many others like him, it's totally fine for me. I saw Marillion 1987 in a Live Concert with Fish and I was blown away by their great performance and the singing and stage presence of Fish. I miss that era a lot.
As Fish sang on white rusdian: Terror on the Rue De San Denis , Murder on the Periferique .
I am thinking this is Dec 13-14 1987?
Wonderful documentary... thanks for sharing
6:44 Who wrote on that flightcase.....Marillian? And 18:22 😆😆
Great look at the roadie side of life
bless you
Remembered only for Kayleigh.. I bet that hurts
They haven't played Kayleigh for decades apart from occasionally at fan conventions. They're not stuck in the past like most of their contemporaries.
@@plop6759 lol to the couple of thousand that turn up
@@forestdad You really shouldn't comment from such an ignorant viewpoint. The last album reached number 4 in the UK charts with no marketing and the international fanbase is substantial.
@@plop6759 I'm not ignorant of them I just don't like what they became
@@forestdad Stick with Fish then. He became completely irrelevant once he left the band in my eyes but I don't go around badmouthing him.
anybody got a complete copy of this , had one years and years ago on video sadly now lost
Just posted full version a couple of weeks ago
Marillion deserve to have roadies pushing all that gear
Definitely one of the best tracks of the underrated album Anoraknophobia which is a bit forgotten due to the subsequent and even more brilliant Marbles album. Great movie, never knew that the sound fragments came from that...
Thanks a lot !! I wasn't that sure that it was really some lyrics of Freaks (even if I have already seen it) but now I am sure !! Cool video that make me remember the movie. Terrifying !
Fine job ! Haven't seen that movie in years.
Great job,Garyllion,Anoraknophobia is my fave Marillion album by the way and you're giving great justice to this great song.Bravo.
great work gary thanks
Chills at 2:22 Mr. Peter Trewavas! A-maz-ing! June 2012 LA

That's one of the things why I love them so much!
"We accept her! We accept her! One of us! One of us! Gooboo gaboo, gooboo gaboo!" Terrific song and great video! Thanks for doing the pieces together!
Nice! Thx for sharing this superb and amazing song
Marillion 80 Days from the album This Strange Engine
Another highlight from a great show in Brighton - my first Marillion gig in... oh, too many years. I shall not allow too much time to pass before I see them again - they were simply brilliant and seem to get better with each CD and tour! Thanks for posting.
This is the first live version I have seen of this gem of a song, amazing! Thanks for the good sound and steady capture, great job!
One of my favorites from the album, thanks for capturing. :-) For some reason Pete's bass always sounds too low in the mix on live versions I've heard of the song...
Great song from a great album!
I never realised what textures and differing techniques Pete plays on his bass in this song. Wow!
