Pretty amazing looking boat. The only thing I expected to go on the deck at the top of the royal quarters was a steering wheel, the rudders. Instead there was a pretty big weapon rack placed in the spot where I expected it :) Still, I love this build, the diorama as a whole and I'm still curious to where the story is going next!

You should definitely look at a Hanseatic cog, also very interesting and more sophisticated and developed than the English ships of the time. nonetheless a nice replica.

In the Middle Ages there were actually laws about how a house had to be built and how it had to stand in relation to the street and other buildings, namely always with the gable facing the street. If a house was built directly next to another house without a gap, then the house was completely at the mercy of fire, which is why a gap and later a fire wall were developed between the houses. A little tip, make the roof bigger by a stud or two, this is closer to a historical gable and roof.

This terrain looks about what I would like tor my lion's knight castle layout. I love the idea of making it "man made" on the village side. I really didn't think about that yet. Will consider it when I get to that point. I just thought about putting only the castle on a cliff to make it look bigger than the city / village / falcon's blacksmith. The more I look at the platform, the more I love it. You should give some consideration to the potion where the castle is setup (allow for some space in case you decide to ever extend the castle at the middle with a third module - so you can place it there even if it gets bigger).

The house is too large and richly furnished to be a serf's cottage, this is more like the house of the highest subclass of peasant. There were three categories of peasant in medieval Europe, serfs and slaves were the most common, followed by free tenant farmers, then freehold farmers. The freehold peasants were the richest and would have been able to afford the type of cottage this Lego model is depicting, they were usually the only medieval peasants to have chimneys in their houses and many have also been able to afford for the bottom of their homes to have masonry walls and floors. These houses were bigger, usually with several rooms.

I have always liked the story scenes at the end of these videos, I thought they were fun and amusing, but when it cut to the Mysterious Easterner, oh man I am hooked.
