I really want this kind of bath in my house in Scotland 😭 it’s what I miss about japan the most
Ugh, I totally feel you! Same! The bath and the toilet 😆💜
How to lock?
Sorry I don’t know on top of my head, please ask the owner of the machine.
I was looking for a video to share how cool japanese bathtubs are, this was perfect!! you describe everything so easily to understand 🥰
Aaw thank you, that makes me happy to hear! So glad there’s people like you who understand my excitement about how awesome they are 😆💜✨
Did your wish come true?
Did you make a thousand?
Yes 💜
Pls tell if your wish really comes true....I want to know that this theory works or not
What!!! 😮 If I knew this sooner I who'd have done this long ago. Though the video is 10 months old. Why I see this. Anyway this is very helpful. Truly thanks a lot😊😊❤
Oh, you’re welcome! I’m very glad to hear you found it helpful - thanks for leaving a comment to let me know 😊🙏💜
Hi thank you for the video . Actually i need the manual of this washing machine but I couldn’t find . Can you share how to unlock the child lock ..
Thanks for reaching out on IG - hope you’ll be able to unlock it 😊🤞💜
Thank really appreciated ❤
You’re welcome, thanks for watching and commenting 💜
Love your accent!
Hahaha thaaanks glad to hear that!
Ha. I was looking for a video on how to put detergent on it, and you just trow it in XD
Haha yes I was a bit doubtful when I was told to do that but it’s perfectly fine 😆 I think for some models there is a special container to put it in but even with that I was told to just throw it on top 😂
As an Asian (Chinese) I think those steps are easier for me and I might understand few of Kanji Characters that are relative to Manadrin, I feel like those top loaders are common in asia so I think this might help when it's kind of different, Nice!
Fantastic, glad it helped you even with your Kanji familiarity 🥰👍!
Oh my god japan has laudry drayers I thought they were at war with because its been tradition for the locals to hang dry their clothes since thats what their ancestors did because they had no other choice
Nothing wrong with hanging clothes out to dry imo - very cost effective and environment friendly 😄🍃
Thanks for the video, wish these kind of systems were worldwide
You’re welcome! Me tooo, would be so cool! 😍
Is this is osaka?
I’m not sure what you mean? 😊
@@brinagoesjapanOsaka is a city in Japan
Can you use those little pods aswell? Hope you understand what I mean
Ah, you mean detergent pods instead of liquid or powder? I have used them several times before and never had an issue with them. I bought mine at Family Mart before but I think you can find them anywhere and they will be much cheaper in supermarkets. At two places I stayed at the owners even provided pods themselves. If you’re worried you can just ask the hotel/hosts 😊👍
I've built one of these, also using a LACK table. For those interested, I was able to just screw on the Metro Kotatsu heater you can get on Amazon in the US with angle brackets. After about a year of use, I noticed one of the legs of the table seemed to be breaking off. I believe this is caused by removing the lower shelf (which we need as a kotatsu topper) which helped give the legs strength. I've added angle brackets to the two interior sides of each leg which seems to be helping. I'm curious to know if you had a similar issue and if you were able to fix it. If it eventually breaks and I'm forced to buy another LACK, I will use the topper of the old one and attach it as the intended shelf but much higher up (maybe 3 inches below the table). Hopefully this will help give it more strength.
Hello, happy to hear you also built yourself a kotatsu 😄💜 Nope, never had issues with the legs of my kotatsu, it’s still working perfectly fine. I’d be careful about attaching the lower shelf. I don’t know your heater but I don’t think it would be safe to attach anything underneath it - please be careful!
@@brinagoesjapan I would just reattach the heater to the bottom of the shelf, not putting the shelf beneath the heater. I suspect if you're putting your table on tatami or something, when you push it it slides. We have ours at full height on a carpet, so when pressure is applied to the table the top moves, but the legs don't which is putting horizontal stress on the attach points.
A truly artistic and well made video. The maker obviously has great talent for explaining the unexplainable, as well as deep understanding for the concept at hand.
Finally. You wished for world peace after making 1000 cranes.
Good stuff!
Thanks for watching! 😊
Good to know next time I visit Japan. 😁 Love your videos Brina! Keep it up as always! 🔥
Thank you so much 🥰 I‘ll do my best and look forward to hearing about your trip 🎉💜
thanks for the share! great into! stay awesome!
Right back at ya! 🎉 Thank you for watching! 😊💜
(=^・^=)🇯🇵🌸You're a Japan otaku. Looks fun🌸🇯🇵
Hahaha, thanks for watching! 😄💜
Thank you!
You’re so welcome 😄💜
Kotatsu is a must-have if you have a shiba. 😄
Haha, I absolutely agree 🤣👌
What about a heating blanket
❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome thanks for the share!
You’re welcome, thank you for watching! 😊🎉
I did this and instead of stringing them, I glued them to a canvas.
what about a heated blanket alternative?
Briefly talked about it in the video :)
Thank you to share your experience. It's very helpfull to create my own kotatsu table.
Thank you, very glad it helps - enjoy your DIY kotatsu~ 😍👏💜
Yay ❤ love see your videos!
Oooh you sweetie, thanks so much for your support 😍💕🙏
subbed! Hai!
Thank you! Hi there!
Brina! This video has helped me so much in making my own! Thank you for taking the time to make this video<3
Yaaay! So glad it has helped you and thank you for leaving this sweet comment 😄💜
This was so enjoyable to watch!!!
I think a good way to somewhat secure the topplate would be strong magnets. If you experiment with the strength and amount of magnets I'm sure you'll find a nice fit between holding it secure and barely being able to ever get it off again.
Haha yeah maybe. Though I honestly haven’t had lots of issues with it. I’m just generally a bit careful standing up from the table but I think that would always be the case as it’s low and I don’t want to tip it over. Magnets would stand out on the top and if they’re strong ones they might pull magnetic things towards them 😄 but in the end it really is personal preference. Magnets are always fun to use in DIY 💜🎉
Yum! Thanks for the share! Stay awesome.
Me after putting a kambal to a table .....jugaadu kotatsu Btw nice work Sister❤
Thank yoou! 😄
WOW! I just began one for my sister (and everyone else who is seriously ill) and I am on #7 i began yesterday it takes a really long time, but I want to make mine to create a paper crane wreath :)
That sounds so lovely, all the best on your paper crane journey, you can do it! 👏💜 And best wishes to your sister as well, I really hope she’ll be okay soon 🙏💕🍃
Does the “dorai” one is to dry the laundry?
Thank you for your question 😊💜 I haven’t used this function so far but I think what it does is just using not as much water as the other modes but as far as I know it does not dry your clothes 🤔 There might be other machines that do have a dry function but usually there are either separate dryers or you might have to dry your clothes in your bathroom. For this I’ve made another video recently, feel free to check it out - all the best for your Japan trip 😄🙌
Would appreciate if you can share the link to the heating panel.

Thank you for this video! I'm a fellow Japan-enthusiast and frequent traveler. Last week, I built my own kotatsu using your video, and it's sitting proudly in the middle of my living room. 🥰
That makes me incredibly happy to read, thank you for letting me know! 🥰💕✨🎉 And CONGRATULATIONS to your own kotatsu!! 👏🎉🔥 Enjoy it 😄 Looking forward to setting mine up again next week 💜
千羽鶴だ🫧
そうですね😊✨
Thanks for the video. Very helpful. Will be traveling to Japan real soon. Does this washer model also dry the clothes? Or have to hang them after?
Very glad it’s helpful to you 💜 I think usually dryers are separate from washing machines here in my experience. But I’ll upload a short video soon about how to dry your clothes in a Japanese bathroom 👍 Likely this weekend or next week🤞Have fun exploring Japan 🇯🇵✨
I was looking to build a DIY kotatsu and noticed that your build is almost identical to Tabimonogatari: Marius' travel and Japan blog - published in 2019; even using the same IR heater and table!✌️
Oh nice! That makes sense - there’s not many other options for heaters out there yet sadly 😄 All the best for your kotatsu! 🎉
Nice one! I’ve got a whole channel dedicated to origami paper cranes.
I’m actually doing this to wish for World Peace (I’m currently at ≈ 350)
Oh wow, you’re so far in! Same here - it’s the same wish 1000 times and over 🙏💜 All the best for your Senbazuru project, I keep crossing fingers for our wishes to come true ✨🙇♀️✨
In school, my friends say I’m crazy and that I’ve lost my mind, but I don’t care, I’ll keep on staying DETERMINED. (The song in the video is so fitting)
So many people are folding senbazuru, nothing to be concerned about 😄👌 Thank you for noticing the song choice, it’s one of my favourites for that reason 🙏💜
I actually live in SG, so I can’t blame anyone for not knowing about the legend. But still… “You should wish to be a millionaire!” “You should wish to be the president of the world!” “You should wish for full marks in PSLE!” Oh, blah, blah, blah. I’ve been ignoring my classmates greedy thoughts since Day 1. And I don’t intend to listen at all.
Thinking about building one of these since It's starting to get cold out. Thanks for the good video
Oh you’re super welcome 💜😊 Kotatsu are SO good for the winter months - happy DIYing and please enjoy your own Kotatsu once it’s finished 😁🎉👌
My childhood friend passed away. She was great at making paper cranes. I plan to try to do this in her memory
Oh I’m incredibly sorry to hear that 😢 I think your idea is wonderful. I found folding these cranes helped me cope with a lot of things that were going on at the time - I hope it will do the same for you 🙏💜✨
I have been enjoying watching your uploads on both YT and IG, but why Shiga? It is not a very touristy place or well-known prefecture. What draws you there? I am curious.
Thank you, haha that is a very good question - Shiga, much like Kyoto, was love at first sight for me. I love the countryside in general, off the beaten path is perfect for me. And Shiga just has this vibe… Lake Biwako is stunning, Shiga even smells good 😆💜 Also I have friends there, that adds to it 🥰
