The Blueprint for Unlocking Your Inner Athlete - Don't Call It A Comeback 10 Week Program
Find the program here! thetibfactory.com/products/dont-call-it-a-comeback-10-week-program
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU? You were an athletic kid and loved playing sports. You discovered lifting weights and loved the results you saw as you increased in size and strength. The weight room helped you be an even better athlete and you were sure at this point you had it figured out. You continued to lift and play sports competitively or recreationally throughout highschool and college and had a few injuries or maybe even surgeries along the way, but nothing slowed you down for long. You started working a 9-5, primarily sitting at a desk. You continued to prioritize lifting and did a decent job maintaining your strength but gradually made less and less time for fun, competition, and free expression of your body. You're now feeling pain from some of your old injuries or pain in new places. You're feeling stiff and have lost confidence in your ability to express your strength and athleticism for fear of injury and pain. Maybe you even hopped back in for some pickup basketball or flag football after having not played for a few years and now your old injury sites are screaming at you.
While we all like to think our story is unique, unfortunately this story is common. The uncommon story is the person who doesn’t chalk this up to “I’m just too old,” or “I can’t do that any more because I had or have (fill in the blank).” I created this program to make you uncommon.
Don’t Call It A Comeback is the culmination of a 4 year journey through chronic knee pain, countless hours of research, experimentation, and self discovery to put myself back in the category of uncommon. This is not a comeback. It’s an expression of what you knew you had all along. This program empowers you to take responsibility for where you currently are in life, and most importantly re-earn your trust in yourself and your belief system.

Thanks man! Our local high school athletic department wants me to build them some of these boards, this was a great tutorial! Hopefully they will work out!
Why don't you glue the pvc part together?
Great info! The 02:24 footage made me cringe. :D
Avoiding pain doesn’t make it go away. It reinforces the brain that you have a problem and that you are in danger. But I know myself that moving with pain is not always easy. It takes a lot of courage, a slow approach and consistency. It comes with ups and downs. Your brain wants to protect you and won’t let go in a minute. But eventually the brain will learn that you are save and will let go the pain. I have experienced it many times. There is a way out. Fear and focus will keep the symptoms persistent.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻
Hell yeah mate! This is a bloody good video
@@MichaelLandmanPhD thanks for watching!
I gotta try this because they changed the flooring for the sled n we can no long push or pull it. So annoyin, I was gettin great results too. Thanks for this
blessed to find this video. thank you good sir
Anywhere we can get these in Canada?
Thank you 🙏
Used your progression: Just got my 1st. Thank you
@@Squints100 awesome!
@@ThePetieProject just got a no bounce👍. Same band progression. Thanks again!! If you have literally 1 minute, I posted the progress vids
While this is a good exercise in its own right, I wouldn’t consider it an alternative to the nordic curl. It’s a completely different exercise. You’re right that it’s an isometric hold in one position of the ROM, the nordic takes you through the whole ROM in an isotonic fashion. Actually the best thing for connective tissue strengthening (tendons and ligaments) would be controlled eccentrics. There’s a lot of well studied data to back this up.
What are the dimensions LxW?
Dumb question, how do you go about cutting the 24* wedges? May have to try a handsaw, I have circular saw but doubt I’d hold an angle accurately freehanding it and setting up an angled track turned into a pain and I called it for today. Thanks!
@@jooooohn401 definitely need a miter saw to make it easy. Circular saw with a jig would work but more of a pain
@@ThePetieProject was able to get them cut and assembled it and knocked out the sled the other day as well! Thanks for giving everyone the blueprint to DIY your products!
I always thought I was in decent shape until I tried one of these. 😂
Anyone ever made a sled tank using magnetic resistance (f.e. a magnetic stationary bike's rotor)? I'm playing with this idea for some time, but couldn't find any information of anyone making one of these. BTW the build in this video is really cool, I just would like to have a sled that rolls.
I'm healing from a tendonopothy. My sports med doc recommended these. Omgosh! they are not easy! I'm starting with very small moves to start. I'm only going forward about 10 inches and then back . 3 ×15 so far. I'm hoping I make progress quickly. Thank you !
Great conversation, thanks!
@@dominiccastillo9677 thanks for listening!
This is an amazing exercise! Thank you so much for sharing it with such easy to follow form guidance!! :)

is the channel still live? Im interested in getting the program but dont know if its up to date
It's still available at www.thetibfactory.com
I disagree with you. Everyone wants to think we have control of our lives by making good choices, but the reality is that we are in far less control of our lives and our choices than we are willing to accept.
Cynicism is a potent toxin. Take responsibility for the choices you can make. Do your best to let the rest go or be the positive change you want to see in others. Thanks for watching
Great stuff! But just use glue, way easier and stronger.
What was the lightest band (what weight resistance) were you using before you were able to do full range unassisted nordics?
Whatever the lightest is in a standard 4 pack. Can't remember the lb range
dope! imma do this
🔥🔥🔥
Does. Thus work with burning tongue syndrome psin fn the tongue
Yes!!!
I'm not trying to be rude baby but your voice is like the same flat sound so it makes me uninterested in your video😢
I really like the small size - and I'll be checking out your other kit!
Awesome!
great video, one question what size pine board do you use for the wedges? is that 1x6?
Yes, correct!
What is call to put on the waist? I liked to order one
Dip belt
Amazing! I really like the design as well. I have very little experience with the training method. How do you think this would perform on the beach?
I think it would dig in too much in the sand but you could always modify the bottom with more surface area
Makes sense. I'll just try it out and report back. Thanks for the reply!
Second time around your program and got my first nordic using your method thanks👍👍👍👍👍👍youtube.com/@edwardo2436?si=YJ_2Zv3V6dFKLTn9
That's awesome!
0:50 - "and don't get the crazy foot cramp that come with the virgin on the ground" What the hell is did he say here? I checked the subtitles and that also shows up with exactly what I typed lol. Oh, the "version". I see. Yea ya want those feet dorsiflexed for sure.
Lol, yes the version
I recently bought the Tiny Tank for grass. I’ve been using it every day after my workouts in my backyard and am loving it. Best $90 I’ve ever spent.
That's awesome, thanks for the feedback!
A tire would work too
Or a sack of potatoes
Good job man!
Thank you!
From what I read, one must spend 2 hours, five days a week in a hyperbaric chamber to make a difference.
Was looking for an alternative. This works perfectly 😊
Nice job. Have you gained any benefits from all these Nordics? Increases in any athletic performances? Do you run faster, jump higher, feel better, look better? Just curious, I've been trying to progress to a Nordic, but I'm not sure why I'm doing it. I just got caught up in all the hype.
In my opinion doing actual athletic movements like jumping is how you become more athletic. It's a fun challenge to learn the Nordic but if it's taking away from your primary goals then feel free to abandon it. It's certainly not a silver bullet for athleticsm however it will make you much stronger.
shit man youre making those ham curls look way too easy
I'm so glad I tried this. I tied a wide work belt around the bottom of my twin bed boxspring, which I have topped with plywood and I use a couple foam pads for a mattress. Anyway, that setup works perfect for free. Although, as I think about it, most people have a mattress on top of their boxspring, lol. So, this might not really help too many people. I tried.
Just put a metal eye hook through the side of a tire. Throw two cut 2x4’s inside the tire throw weights on and drag with whatever you want as your rope or chain or whatever very easy
I got your sled and I like it, but the hitch seems to be in the way of the plates and they don't sit stable. Is there a specific kind of plate you use with some indentation or is it supposed to be like this?
Can you please email me a photo so I can figure out a solution for you? I've never heard of this issue before. The plates should sit completely flat and be stable. No specific weight plate required
@@ThePetieProject hey sorry for taking this long. To reply back. I will see if I can get a picture, but I think the issue is that the diameter plates I have is smaller than the sleds end brackets so it sits in that lower level the hitch is. If I get at leats one plate of the diameter you have I can just put the rest above so it avoids the issue. So what diameter plates or what brand/type do you use?
There is another easier way to learn this by setting up with ankles set and a pad under knees. Instead of moving outward at the knees you bend at the waist as the hips are much stronger and not at the knees in a jack knife position and you do this as you get stronger and are able to start extending further out. I do 5 sets of five reps and it's much better than when I was trying to bend at the knees. I put my hands behind my legs to feel my hamstrings as they work.
Amazing instructional video! I’ll be strengthens my tibials every leg day thanks to you
Glad you found it helpful!
definitely could have built it, but I love the mission, just ordered the asphalt one with extra cleats. Thank you!
Awesome, thanks for the order!
It's very hard to say just return to play. In my case, I have chronic patellar tendinopathy on my right and a partially torn acl on the left. So how..
Dribbling a basketball, juggling, throwing a Frisbee while stationary with a friend...depends on what you like to do. Try to work within what you are able to do and make the activity not about "rehabbing" but something that looks something like where you ultimately want to go at a very regressed version within your current limits instead of only "rehabbing" and eliminating all forms of play
@@ThePetieProject actually, I returned to playing with limited intensity only. And the hardest part to accept is that you are now only a shell of your old self inside the court. By the way, did you have acl repair?
@@futureceltic00 yes acl in the past, the pain I was going through at the time was pfp rather than acute. Trust me I know how frustrating it is to step back. Relentless patience is your friend. Good luck to you!
This is confusing. Can i just hit Machine Hamstring Curl to achieve this?
Hamstring machine is great. Different stimulus from Nordics but same muscle group. You can really overload eccentric in the Nordic. Only way to do this on the machine would be a 2 leg up 1 leg down approach.
