Man this is the problem with Jenkins when it comes to situational basketball he just doesn’t get it. Why in that stretch in the 4th quarter you take Ja and Jaren off the floor and then you have no real ball handler in the game but to have bane jake wells santi Clarke on the floor with how the rockets play aggressively on defense what did he think was gonna happen ??? They immediately started turning over the ball and the rockets went on that run. All momentum is gone now when he tries to put Jaren in and then when he puts Ja back in they’re down 1. In the playoffs teams don’t get blown out most times it’s about SITUATIONAL basketball and the way he operates will get you beat every time. Like why would you not call a timeout in that moment??? Because you did the last game man give me a break! Even if it did work out for Memphis it was still dumb coaching

Ja can't lead this team. He is a great individual talent, but he has many flaws. He plays reckless, injury prone, can't shoot the 3 consistently, too many turnovers, pouts too much and doesn't get back on defense. Ja's mentality is questionable. Plays like he needs to prove he is better. Ja just play your game, stay level headed. I would take Jaylen Brunson over Ja any day.

And totally agree with you, don't save your best player. To anyone who says a JJJ with 4 fouls wouldn't be as good as another player, then why put him back in at all? You put him back in because he's great and we need him. If he fouls out, next man up with the deepest team in the league isn't THAT horrible.

We have the deepest bench in the league. And we need a shorter lineup to promote team cohesion. Not at all mutually exclusive statements. Which is why, although I doubt it exists, a trade of multiple good bench players for a (semi) super Star would be great, IF it's a good fit (probably a floor spacing Three). All that being said, if we ever have 10 straight games basically injury free, let's revisit if we have ANY problem at all.

Out of all the shows and I mean all the grind city bs and especially the idiots on bluff city you definitely have the best and smartest show but please tell me why Kennard who has been the second best 3 point shooter in the nba and 4-5 assist in most games and rebounds well only played 10 mins. It's not all Ja's fault, but...he didn't get off the ball quickly enough, which totally Fs up the new offense. Players move when the ball or another player moves. If someone is just pounding the rock, they just stand there, so no cuts, nothing happening, and Ja has to take a late clock shot. Lots of times this seems intentional on his part. There is no way Ja should have as many FGAs as Bane & JJ combined.

Im liking the game plan of sitting wells on the best player and let the rest win. It takes a lot of co ordination from the rest of the team, and the grizzlies are still falling asleep on the 3 pt line havjng to cover more space and running a fast offense. But at its best it works well against superstar reliant teams

Defense is still an issue. Turnovers are an issue. But It’s a marathon not a sprint. We still have to get GG and Vince back. Plus our whole offensive philosophy is so new. I’m trusting the process

I love this team. I understand a fan panics at a loss, and particularly a losing streak. But. But. We seem to be one of the youngest, one of the deepest, and one of the most exciting teams in the league. And I'm sure some NBA team has been more injured than the Grizzlies, but not many. If we are still struggling after we have had most of our guys healthy for a 10 game streak, then maybe I'll listen to your panic. I just think we are due a run of healthy team play, and maybe I'm wrong, but I think this team will be special if we can get consistently healthy.

Butler not wanting to come to Memphis is not unusual. Stars don't want smaller markets but that's okay. what about Miles bridges the Hornets 2025 1st round pick for desmond Bane? Bridges could go to the SG position giving the Grizzlies more size, defense and athleticism at the position. Bane going to the Hornets allows them to play Brandon Miller at his natural positon and it makes their starting lineup stronger. Both teams win.

After listening to your excellent analysis of Jimmy Butler I'm changing my opinion from somewhat neutral to very negative on making any trade for Butler. The guys we'd have to give up are too valuable for a part time rental for a very old player(read more injury prone), just for a chance to, maybe, maybe, do better in the play offs. Ja is the star. We need players that fit seemlessly with him, and it's not Butler.

While Butler does play the positions of (slight) need for the Grizzlies, he makes a ton of money and is 35 years old. Not sure this is a move to be excited about.
