I definitely could have. I’ve been telling myself I would do it for 2 years and never did 🫣 I was able to give that one to another teacher at my school!
I wore a shirt today that says the same thing. It's great, everyone instantly smiles when they read it and then you do as a response. My favourite shirt and a definite on those days you are struggling emotionally and need a pick me up.

Is it common for teachers in the US to print stuff for school at home? I do not have a printer at home and never have.
I’m not sure! I print 99.9% of things at school though and I could print in color, just easier for me to do a couple pages at home if I really need to 🌈

What type of activities do you do with your read alouds? Love the "Books We Have Read" bulletin board. I'm new to 4th grade (taught lower ele only up until this year). Your videos are great!
Thank you! 🥰 most of the time it’s just read aloud and discussion. Beginning of the year has a lot of activities woven in and then I use our chapter books for a lot of our reading lessons 📖

Since you are departmentalized, what kind of behavior management do you use?
Luckily 🤞🏻 I don’t have many behavior issues during our 40 minutes of science. If I do, I tend to stick to natural consequences: if they messed up their activity because they weren’t listening, now they have to sit and watch us do the rest etc. I also chat with them as I would my own students to discuss behavior and/or their teacher, support staff, parents if necessary
