Flowers in the dirt" represents a return to the Beatles. The sonorities of the songs, Paul's decision to play the Hoffner bass again and to play many Beatles songs on the tour ( I was lucky to see a concert) make this one the best Paul's album.

He’s doing it though. For two hours and a half on every show, doing Helter Skelter and singing every song in its original key. What you hear is just a voice that aged as all voices do, but that doesn’t mean he’s not still an incredible performers. It just means his voice has taken a different quality and it feels different. Personally I find it softer, emotionally deeper, and it’s the experience in it and the sounds of usage that give it that quality. He could not have sounded as warm even just 20 years ago, and some songs? His voice is better and more suited for them now. Also, he’s been putting on better shoes than he did in the 70s for 20 years . Sure, he seemed more confident and was more into exploiting his vocals with Wings, but his shows now are just pure joy, fun, gratitude and appreciation for his public. Which make for an overall way better show. In other terms, Good Evening New York City >>>>> Rockshow. Although I enjoy both.
I mean, I also hate to see that but in the sad way. This man's talent has outlived his body and is sad he's no longer able to sing to the max the amazing music he creates.
