Sophie's Affliction
In the first of three segments, it appears Sophie may have hiccups or something is stuck in this throat and is having trouble swallowing it. Might he have a sore throat and it just feels like something is there?
In the second segment, it sounds and looks like he's coughing. He's had about a half dozen occasions of this since a shot of Prednisone.
In part three I was playing with Sophie by sticking my fingers through holes in a box. He was purring loudly before his fit started, which is how it typically starts. He's done this once each day for the last three days that we're aware of, and once on 10 December.

Read engine, ABS, and TCU codes on a 2005-2009 Legacy Outback without a code reader
Переглядів 48 тис.7 років тому
Got a CEL light on but don't have a code reader? 2005-2009 Legacys and Outbacks have one built into the cluster. 2005s need a white diagnostics connector hooked up to work. It's tucked inside the fuse panel just inside the drivers (LHD) door by your knee. It may possibly be wrapped in (blue?) tape. There is a pair of green connectors as well but those aren't needed for this. Once the white conn...
Change the spark plugs in your Subaru EZ30 H6 engine the EASY way!
Переглядів 109 тис.8 років тому
This video demonstrates how to change the spark plugs in a Subaru EZ30 H6 engine without jacking up the engine or changing them from underneath the car. Do it the easy way! From the top of the engine bay! Takes about an hour this way. Although demonstrated on a USDM 2005 Outback 3.0R it applies to all Subarus with the EZ30 or EZ36 engine. Stock spark plugs on this engine is NGK's ILFR-6B. I ins...

What idiotic designs, engineers are intelligent fools man, 4-6 hours for a spark plug change for the average person, absolutely ridiculous 😂

Thanks man! I was wondering if these were similar to my 1992 legacy and has connectors to plug in to read codes

Ok don't be foolish. All you gotta do is remove two motor mount bolts. You only need to raise it about 2 inches and it makes it so much easier!

08 Outback XT. Not seeing these connectors. Also looking at FSM I see nothing. My green test mode connectors are on passenger side kick panel by ECU. Same as when I had 05 OBXT. Still looking for a way to read ABS codes. In the fuse panel area the FSM shows 181 and 182 as a "short connector". I found it and one of the plugs is a loop of wire connecting the other 2 wires of the other plug.. Like it's name indicates. Not sure the purpose of this but it looks similar and in a similar location to what you're showing in this video.

Donny’s method works! Super happy to have this job done. All in about 4 hours. Cylinder #6 ( rear driver side) is still tricky but doable with u-joints and persistence. Getting plug boot on coil-pack back over new plug required bending rubber boot just right.

I'm not criticizing you've done well, but there is a reason why the video showing this done using a hoist is considerably shorter.

Watched this video twice, took a deep breath then did this on my 2006 H6 outback today. Took a while but it worked. I also removed the brackets that hold the coil leads in place, 2 x 10mm bolts and gives a few mm more clearance. The u joint is the key to this. I wondered about going from underneath but I THINK going from the top means you need less of an angle. Thanks for this video.

For the 3 and 6 plug removal. You gave a socket, 3" extension, u-joint, and then a 6" extension? I am just doing left side numbers 2,4,6 today. 2&4 were like simple! Half hour and out. That 6 the coil was easy, but the plug I am stumped! Watched so many videos!

Plugs are a pain, but can be done in a few hours. I went from underneath and above. Also did the passenger side valve cover gasket and cam hole seals (half moons) since it was leaking. Driver side was not leaking. I guess the passenger side is the one that goes on these from what I have read. Also did the oil cooler o-ring while I was under their and changed the oil. I use a synth blend instead of full syn to avoid any leaks. It is amazing how that full syn oil can get through seals.

    • @Wahinies
      @Wahinies 5 років тому

Big believer in synth blends, I freaked out after changing and there were some drops on the floor but it was the old oil from spurting out the drain haha.

How do the coil packs fit back on to the spark plug do they slide on or do they kind of Snapback back on . Cuz I couldn't get mine to snap the kind of felt like they slid on but I bolted it back in place so I don't know if the connection will be fine or not?

  • @kennethscholz6027

Good that you confirmed the gaps, sometimes new ones are out of spec. With Pt and Ir plugs better to use a wire type gauge as the sharp edges on feeler gauges can scrape off the plating - bad karma.
