Definitely easier to remove the rear beam bushings with a tall shop press if you have one. Took about ten minutes to press both out (and about 8 minutes of that was flipping the beam in the press).

The Freelander is probably the most reliable land rover ever built. Often credited for savng land rover at the time. Its built on the ford platform (who owned JLR at the time) with ford based engine and toyota gearbox. They are mostly front wheel drive, with a haldex based system to engage the rear wheels in 4x4 when needed, so also more economical on the road than many 4x4s. It also was one of the first land rovers with hill decent control and the terrain response system which is known today for being the best in the business. Brought mine years ago, HSE Luxury, and I'll keep it until it dies. Its a great car. Maintenance costs are not high, great communities out there for help and support.

Of all the cars to choose you picked a Land Rover and of all the Land Rovers you chose a Freelander! They go through the local auction regularly where they struggle to raise a bid so I guess you got lucky with this one, it could have hidden a myriad of expensive problems so trading it was the best option.I have seen asking prices of £4-5k but in my opinion these are way too ambitious and would need to be pristine examples with complete and up to date main-dealer servicing, rare animals indeed! you moved on quickly which was the best thing to do.

Great video. I bought a set of Hyundai steelies with very decent tyres for 60€. They're going on a Honda Civic. The Civic's CB is 56.1 and the new wheels are 54.1. I have to take 1mm off the sides. Seems like a lot, but will try this and see how it goes. Thanks!

You can fit tha maaassive MK2 aircon rad which has a pointy-down lower inlet which misses the compressor. Obviously you need to change the hoses so I guess working with what you have keeps costs down.

Mate, you’re supposed to adjust this actuator with vag software. It’s not just measuring a length of pin only. Wrong adjustment may case a engine failure. FYI under pressure you should have 0.65- 0.85v and without pressure 3.40-3.80v.

I have the whole a/c system from a golf 3 gti 2.0 16v and I want to put it in a golf 3 1.6, I also have the wiring (but it's all the wiring of the car) and it's very difficult for me to separate the a/c wiring. and I would just like you to explain everything from sensors to the last cable. That fluid cap is missing the float, which probably helps slow the fluid from absorbing water out of the air.
