I LOVE NC….but yes, the great Southern culture is being diluted and ruined by the northern transplants. They ruin everything! They move down, complain about where they came from, complain about the Southern Carolina way of life and vote the same way from where they came from to create the same problems. And in the same breath, they won’t stop talking about where they came from…It truly is insane! Doesn’t matter where they come from; NY NJ PA MD DC N. VA New England , they’re pretty much all the same. And it’s evident in the metro area because that’s where the problems are. It’s not rocket science to understand and see.

I've lived in NC for 11 years. Never encountered a giant roach, poisonous snake, a killer mosquito. I'm retired and I love it that my retirements income is NOT taxed in North Carolina.

We are from Michigan but have lived in NC since 2017. Cost of living is similar. Mosquitoes are way worse in Michigan. Will be moving back to Michigan next year to be near family. Love a lot of things here except the summer heat. Fall is my favorite time of year here. We love the mountains. They are fabulous!! Will miss them so much! Miss Lake Michigan though and the Great Lakes!

Well, you made it clear to me, if not to everyone else who listens to your message, that you are trying to dissuade people from moving to North Carolina or to leave it you can have your life back the way you used to have it before foreigners , or should I say northerners came to live in your comfortable culture! I had a 3 day interview a few minutes north of Durham, YUCK! Not for me, homeless everywhere, feet sticking out from bushes at the Wal Mart, begging everywhere, talked to locals and they said that all the benefits they give homeless people are attracting more and more homeless people on a daily basis. There are nice homes over $450k, but MOST of the people there can't afford that so there were trailers and run down homes everywhere! The only thing I loved about the area was the food, the restaurants I went to were AMAZING!

Left NC after 21 years. This state does nothing for the people. Hight corporate and individual taxes. Good luck.

I live near Cherokee North Carolina. Years ago I lived near havelock N.C. I've been here several years and have no regrets no roaches and the people are friendly for the most part.

Most of the people living in the larger cities are non native immigrants from the North and Midwest. As a native from Gastonia, I avoid these places to avoid high real estate prices, crime and traffic... the others can have it to themselves! I moved to rural upstate South Carolina where land and taxes are cheaper. One of my brothers still lives in NC near Raleigh, the other moved to West Virginia.

Been in Raleigh area for 11 years , worst drivers. No turn signals , people constantly cut you off no basic road edict. Almost as bad as Massachusetts. Flat and no views in the triangle. Plan on leaving in the next 3 years.

Moved to Granville….i am surrounded by trees …4~6 weeks of miserable pollen..hits mid to late March, snakes~copperheads see them routinely, black snakes also. Poverty all around like you have not experienced, very hot summers ..liberals flooding the area, bringing their progressive garbage with them. Being progressive means higher taxes, less tolerance, snotty, elitism. Libs stay out.

Excellent Video , and how true you are , I love NC and escape the Hot ,Humid , heat from FLORI-DAH as I been here for 71 years , back before covid we were looking at buying a 2nd home in Waynesville or Hendersonville , since we go up there twice a year , I now can't believe what they want for homes , a 2 bedroom /2 bath home at 1500 sq ft they want $ 450 ,000 dollars ,Engles grocery store is now so expensive as we look for a Wal mart to shop. So many Floridiots have moved to the nice mountain towns and alot of the NEiner SNOBS . The local people do not like Half backs from FLA or NY, NJ , MASS , RI , NH and now CALIFORNIA , which is driving the prices Sky High , Same here in FLOR-Dah , now that houising is so expensive the younger people can't afford a home .

OK I live in Arizona and a dry climate allergies are bad here don’t move here. Cost-of-living is very very expensive. I had to go to a ENT doctor I’m on prescriptions plus no spray and I have an ointment to put in my nose. This is 12 months out of the year so I’m trying to move to North Carolina to get away from Arizona because of the cost of living allergies is very very dry so dry sometimes I have nosebleeds so I visit Clayton county justice, pastier and wake county. I definitely want to move to North Carolina maybe I’m going to go up toward North or Buford is .

I moved to charlotte. I had more mosquitios in iowa. I have not seen many snakes. I have not seen roaches. Not too hot in summer in charlotte. Night cools off. Not as humid as florida. Alergies in iowa more with ragweed.

Too many Yankees. As a Yankee whose father's side came from Rutherford county. I spent a lot of time there decades ago. Now I work remotely on contract for a company in NC. 75% of the people I work with there do not have a southern accent. Oh and once you see your first Rhino Beetle you'll be moving. I would spend a week every year of my childhood at my grandparents in NC. They didn't have A/C. I visited during the Summer. It didn't seem to bother me then. At 60 now? Yeah, it would bother me. All in all, too many Yankees. They've ruined the state.

NC isn't NC anymore, Too many transplants and they're bringing all their northeast political views with them,It's starting to get overcrowded, overpriced,Even NC natives are leaving because of outside influences moving here.

I was born and raised and lived in Ohio. I have traveled a lot in my life. In 2004, a year before I retired, I took a trip along the Atlantic coast from Cape May NJ to Florida, and back. From the very first day I set foot in North Carolina, I knew that this is where I wanted to spend the rest of my life. People here are just plain nicer and warmer and friendlier than any place I've been in the USA. After 20 years I am still 100% sold on North Carolina. This video is kind of a hit job. I live in the Dismal Swamp on the Intercoastal Waterway, and the mosquitos here are no worse here than they were in Ohio, and the cost of living here is less than in Virginia.

If your worried about high prices, poor roads, extreme heat most of the year, Snakes, Gators, mosquitoes, horrid traffic, an inability to get home insurance due to our hurricanes and flooding, and hopeful for good old southern values, it's too late. The liberal northerners have all but ruined it. We're looking at heading north!

Please stay out of North Carolina, you wouldn't like it. Try Delaware or Quebec.

I live in a great apartment building right next to the bus station. That might be a disadvantage to some, but as I no longer drive it's a great deal for me. Also, there are so many restaurants and museums and auditoriums within walking distance that I have plenty of things to do. Raleigh is the perfect size for me and has some great amenities. Plus, the bus system gets me anywhere I need to go and it's free.

Don't Forget to mention the Homeowner insurance is One of the highest outside of Florida. And will quickly put you into bankruptcy.

I lived and grew up in NC for over 30 years. I moved there and back 3 times as an adult. I have to say this, many of these videos refer to NC as being very conservative. They are sugar coating it. In NC the word backward applies. Prior to the civil war, NC was known as the "Rip Van Winkle" state. Reason: they are always 20 years behind everybody else. That's a historical fact. The place hasn't changed. In the cities there are a lot of folks from other parts of the world. These areas would seem very normal to most folks. But once you cross the city limits into the country side, Watch Out! You will start to here people use the "N" word when referring to black people. You will be ask loaded questions after you first meet someone like, "so what church do you go to?" As if it was any of their business. But that's NC, other people will make your life their business. If you don't measure up to their values, you will be outcast. These are some shallow people. Be ready for it.
