Thanks for the great video! Some of these actions (for example, SEL EMPTY) don't seem to be working on the note trigger rack. They work fine on x-clips. I'm on Live 12.1, and the latest Clyphx which supports Liver 12.1. Any ideas?

it reminds me of fantasia (the Disney movie) and all the rawness - the music and art convey every part of creation and destruction. This feels like that to me. That is amazing how you can hear and play.

whenever i hear this type of piano playing... i think of Prince's dad piano composition for Computer Blue. Prince's Dad piano composition was called Father's Song. Prince inserted it into the song Computer Blue.

I've only gotten to 2 hours 11 minutes at this point, but I've really liked what I I've heard. My favorites were the one you started and then began moving maybe a cushion then a chair while you kept playing. That whole section through the end of that and the section immediately following that, those two were my favorites.

Around 2:00:00 I get a hint of a song you probably haven't heard yet, CHINCHILLA's Fingers - Live for Hunger TV version. My wife had this piece from Ren played at her mother's funeral on Sunday. It was evocative, reverent and lovely. After the ceremony, we had several people ask us about it, including a couple of octogenarians. Ren transcends age and touches hearts without saying a word.

This is great stuff here Robbie.. I can never sleep without a little background noise.. and I'm sure this will be great.. your last one waa great too. Hey I think you would be fascinated by Asaf Avidian check out his song 900 days In a Box III. He uses a looping machine and literally becomes a one man band. He is a self taught artist and in this one he plays the piano.. but uses the drums and another keyboard with the looping machine.. even uses second Mic that he uses to create a loop of backup singers.. I mean it's freaking incredible. . In my eyes.. maybe you have seen similar. . But I know I haven't. . He has a unique voice too and everything he does is done with passion. The In A Box series means it's live.. one take.. no auto tune.. just him and his instruments. . And he plays in a abandoned church for the acoustics. I think you will really like it. I found him because in a comment section someone said Ren had recently recommended him in a live. Since I have learned that Ren really thinks highly of this artist. He is from Isreal. I know you will have a fun time with this artist performance. Thanks for the reaction to Mackey and this extended version. ❤

33:23 - awww, my breath caught in my throat, you reacted to what I think of as the most magical moment of the song (this one isn't a favourite of mine but I've played piano for 45 years so some of the compositional choices in any song I listen to jump out quickly). Going from the main "sweet" version of the theme to a variation with the open fourths in the right hand is a choice that delights me, given Ren being a person who didn't study formally & whose output is rock/pop/folk/rap tradition. We see here and there (and especially in the musical interludes in Jenny/Screech/Violet) that he can compose bits of music for a solo acoustic guitar that stand on their own in that context without vocals, but a full piece dedicated to solo piano is a different endeavour to flesh out than those other beautiful musical ideas stitched into some of his songs. More than any other part of this song, the variation in fourths makes me feel comfortable with his decision to go ahead with adding THIS song to his official catalogue (vs something he enjoys playing around with in his life outside of performance). It might not be Chopin or anything, but it's legit and I'm glad he showed us what he can do in this genre. (another "surprising for a guy who writes incredible rock/pop/folk/rap stuff" thing he's done, that's a substantial bit of writing rather than just a little snippit in a song, is the second part of Money Game 3) edit - hey Robbie, I can't find the video of you playing your own version - is it not up yet? The text on the screen made me think that it is but I don't see it in your list of videos.

Wow! Just listening to learn to play the emotional true storynof the loss of his dear friend. Now this is a first to not be interested in Ren the human being, amazing artist and his struggle over 10 yrs with lymes disease? I'm just flabbergasted.
