Переглядів 588 місяців тому
Michael Thompson bale grazes his cattle in the winter vs feeding them in a lot. This system allows the cattle to feed in fields that will be planted to crops this spring. The residue left from the bales and manure from the cattle work together to provide cover and fertilizer for the soil. Additionally, bale grazing reduces the amount of time and fuel spent feeding.

Wow! What a great wealth of information. Loved seeing the process to make the compost extract and the results of your no-til systems. Thanks for sharing, Tyler! Also appreciate your use of industrial hemp hurd in the compost recipe. Great work!!
I'm surprised at your statement that chipped pine is not recommended because of anti-microbial properties. I can believe that applying to "cedar" (juniper) though. Here in southeast Texas pine will decay quickly. Maybe we have resident bacteria in the soil that specializes in pine. After all pine forest is our natural ecosystem, so it seems to me nature would provide a resident "recycler" Another factor might be our higher rainfall.
Thank you! Great to see this transition happening. This will be the game changer in the high plains.
Great content from Joel
Fabulous information ❤
Which amino acids are you recommending we add, Apply foliar or to the soil at planting time.
Brilliant lecture!
