@@feelixtheglovinggiraffe759 yea I feel the same way. I’ve had no issue with other rounds whatsoever. I just call it up to a trash design. People say what they want, I’ve built many rifles in my life. I know a lemon when I see it and it definitely wasn’t my rifle. Still works beautifully with other companies. It is what it is I guess. Every brand whore gets mad when I say this but hey. This is still what happened.

Pretty sure your feed ramp was improperly milled. They are supposed to be milled to accept various types of projectile loads, and a hollow point polymer filled load isn’t non-standard on 300AAC. What brand is the rifle and/or barrel? Another issue could be that your magazine spring is over tensioned at maximum magazine loads. This is one reason one tier one tier two operations sometimes will only run 28 rounds per magazine. It backs the tension off the magazine springs a little and keeps the failure to chamber malfunction from being as likely to happen.

I did however upgrade to the Romeo 5 because the 2 downsides of the MSR was the dial to turn on was way to stiff and didnt have the shake wake. On my 8.5 300BLK I had a Sig Buckmaster 3-9 power scope (phenomenonal 🤌🏾) but I wanted to a red dot so I got the Romeo 5XDR Gen II and Juliet 5x micro. @@TacticalJ-x3p BCG, charging handle and that’s it honestly. I could go the extra mile and get an adjustable gass block but the BCG has that internally and fixed most of the issue. Still a bit gassy but no where near what it used to be.

@@tinkerbell3813 so if you watch the other video I show you what it’s good for, but it’s absolutely not as described. It’s great on 22s or if you get it potted, if not. Honestly it’s absolutely trash.

I literally bought a knock off olight on Amazon for 20 bucks…same quality, battery life, and brightness. The only difference in one small shape change and the name on it. I found a lot of off brand stuff works just as good, if not better. Yeah, you get a dud here and there, but I hardly ever buy top of the line stuff unless it’s for a good reason. Sometimes you get what you pay for, sometimes you get more than you paid for, or less. But i can say as someone with some off brand things who knows people with the name brand versions, the differences are negligible. I also never buy new. I wait a few years until cheaper same or better quality 3rd party options come out unless OEM is the best choice at the time.

I could not have said it better myself! Most people think the price tag is what matters. I’ve been shooting for years and have had very few issues on items I was told were knockoffs. My best example would be Sigs line of optics. We all know the name yet many laugh when you say what optics you use. I’ve had mine working for 6 plus years with tons of abuse. Still running lol, so I say put things to the test and find out the truth about the optic or object in question. Much appreciated for the comment and I hope you watch for more. 🫡🫡🫡
