Hi everyone, I recently explored a lot of 3d modeling in Touchdesigner and one of the most frequent questions of beginners is to adjust the camera movement to face the center of the model and adjust the position of an imported 3d model in Touchdesigner. I drew the inspiration from my trip to Vienna to combine hand script motions and 3d rendering Project file download: www.patreon.com/posts/touc...

In this digital art series, I draw inspiration from the intricate and timeless art of Yuxian papercut, a traditional Chinese craft known for its delicate patterns and rich cultural significance. By merging this ancient technique with modern digital tools, I aim to create a unique fusion that honors the past while exploring new dimensions of visual storytelling.

.objs files can be accessed directly from the PointFileInTOP without needing to convert, the wiki contains all the formats that are accepted by such node
This is because importing your .obj as a SOP, converting it into a CHOP and then re-converting it into a TOP just for it to be use for pointcloud instancing is extremely demanding for your CPU and will only cause issues on the long run. (and also because both .obj and .ply are attribute collectors and can be read in a very similar way)
@@papacci20 you are right, just tried it out and totally simplified the workflow, thank you !!
@@JY_8627 had that not been the case, converting an .obj to a .ply with some clever use of Blender would still be a far better choice than doing live multi-family conversions that would inevitabily slow down your network for something that can be fixed with 5 more minutes of work (okay maybe it's not that fast if you're new to Blender and considering how Blender is still decades behind the other 3D softwares but you get the idea)
amazing!
thank you❤
Amazing tutorial! I was wondering how you got it to animate similar to how we saw in the start of the video. Sorry, I am kinda new to the software.
I will post it in the next tutorial, thanks for asking!❤
Proud of you 🙂↕️
