Hi there! Yes the airport is decent. I love that they have a wellness spa you can go to if you have any time before the next flight. A regular tourist visa in India will allow you to stay 180 per calendar year. That should be sufficient for travels and sight seeing. A business visa (sponsored from an employer) will allow you to stay longer or even a medical visa for treatment of some sorts does the same. There are income guidelines and other requirements for these types of visa’s. The India government website that dispenses visa’s and e-visa’s explains all of this in detail.
