Переглядів 6446 років тому
Some of my favorite clips of some very brave people who know how to have some fun in the snow. Clips of 4 wheeling vehicles in deep snow. Plus some car and truck ice slides and snowmobile and ATV fails. Had to stop watching. I want to hear the tractor not your choice of music.
i have one also what brackets did you use?i cant get mine linedup right
This video is super helpful to know that a craftsman blower will fit my husqvarna mower, thanks for posting!
You bet!
Do you, by chance, have a video installation of the snow blower onto your lawn tractor? If not that's ok I'm sure it is not that difficult, just curious.
I thought about making one but figured there were videos already posted on how to install it. Luckily, the tractor frames and the brackets are mostly universal so if you take your time, you can sort of see where everything is supposed to go.
i did it and its just logic super simple
I was able to make my own brackets for mounting it.
@@promates5199 Hello, I have a YTH24V48 that has a stock plain front end, and the 42" Craftsman that has the big black bracket the has two kinda open slot hooks. So what bracket do I buy or get to attach to the tractor frame rails to clip on the blower?
@@Blakelikesfood
I just added a snowblower to practically the same rider I will need to add some weight to the rear what did you use ?
So on this tractor, I had purchased the sand tube kit and the wheel weights that fit on the Craftsman equivalent, from Sears. It worked but to switch back to "summer mode," I had to remove the sand tube tray. I eventually sold this entire setup and replaced it with the next size up, the Husqvarna LGT2648 from Mills Fleet Farm. I purchased the same same blower but the Husqvarna name brand, painted orange. As far as I can tell, the tractor frame and the snowblower are identical to Sears tractor frames and snowblowers....Don't know how common Craftsman equipment still is but that is my my frame of reference here. Having said that, I believe the weight kit I have would work for my old tractor here in the video. I initially wanted to get the same sand tube and wheel weight I had but was not able to find a place to purchase this Sears Craftsman brand equipment since all the Sears closed around here. That led me to investigate a new setup. I was reading some comments that said weight off the back is more effective with less weight than weight on the tires. And since I needed something and my belief is the tractor frames are very very close, I figured I could get something close and make it fit. I ended up with the Arnold 490-900-M060 Tractor Suitcase weight kit from Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0010OMGNE I think I remember I had to drill just 1 hole per side but able to line up the rest of the holes needed. It comes with 1 suitecase but has slots for 3 so I ordered 2 more suitcases, Arnold 490-900-M059, from Amazon here: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009LZ73GY I still have chains, but no wheel weights. Looking back, I wish I would have done this to my setup you see in the video. It works at least as well, if not better. Additional benefits are if you back into something accidently, the sand tube doesn't tip over and sand spills out everywhere. You don't have rubber tie downs that weather and break when it gets cold. And best of all, I leave the weight kit on all year round because to remove the weight, You just pull the suitcases off and they store flat and super easy. The weight bracket that stays on the tractor has a hole for hooking up a dump cart or lawn attachments so the whole thing is just a 1 time install instead of seasonal change install/uninstall like the sand tube. I also last summer bought the Husqvarna front scoop loader bucket and I use the weight kit for that too, works fantastic. Then when it's time to cut grass, I just pull off the 3 suitcases and the 1 long pin of the scoop and I'm off cutting grass. The scoop has the same bracket, bolt ears, and long top pin handle with kodder key thing as the snowblower does. Extremely unfortunately, Husqvarna didn't have the engineering know how to make both use the same mounting brackets to the frame so when I switch between blower and scoop, I need to swap mounting brackets. Not a deal breaker but an extra 2-3 hours, depending on my ambition level for the day. Hope this helps, and I want to try and get an updated snow clearing video uploaded of the new rig, just haven't been able to line up my schedule and a day of snow removal together yet.
can you ever watch a fuckin video without having to fuckin hear some fuckin music pounding in the fuckin background ! fuckin idiots !
Does this have any additional illumination or just the infrared from the doorbell?
I have no additional illumination, it is just whatever the doorbell has built into it and then I suppose beyond the 20-50 feet its rated for, the street light fills in the part across the street.
I bought a Craftsman tractor used - with this blower and for the life of me, I can't figure out the lift mechanism! I have online manuals. I just am having a dikkinz of a time with this. I also have an electric/hydraulic lift for it and same thing. Where the handle goes in - that obviously is where the 'magic' is and the whole implement (for anyone else!) just lifts up so easily! But I dunno. I've got it all mounted fine and it works when I engage the power - shuts off as it should when I release the power lever too. It's just the lower/lift that is having me in kahoots.
Is this failrace intro music???
Loved seeing that old Wagoneer plow thru.
ATLOffroad that was really cool
Cool setup! Still using this today? Is there anything you would have done differently and does the tractor have the locking differential?
Thanks! I actually sold the whole setup last year. I replaced it with the next size up Husqvarna, LGT from Lowes: www.lowes.com/pd/Husqvarna-LGT48DXL-25-HP-V-twin-Hydrostatic-48-in-Riding-Lawn-Mower-with-Mulching-Capability-Kit-Sold-Separately/1000368441 This time I got the same size snow blower but got the power lift instead of the manual lift. I also got "weight suitcases" from Amazon instead of the sand tube like this tractor had. Having used both setups now, had I known at the time, I would have gone with the power lift and the weight suitcases the first time. The manual lift is fine but the long handle can be a bit bothersome for storing. And the manual has 2 positions, up and down. The power lift works off a winch mounted on the front of the tractor so you can raise it just a little if you are going over gravel or a bump. The sand tube I think weighed a little more but the suitcases are super easy to store in the summer and easier to take on and off since you can remove 1 weight at a time instead of all at once. Plus, the are filled with cement, not sand so no mess if it tips over like the sand tube. And I didn't do wheel weights because I was reading the most effective counter weight is on the back, not on the wheels and that has proven true to me. The suitcase weight bracket actually is up and out slightly from where the sand tube is and I have 3 suitcases and it is all just as effective or more effective than the sandtube setup which really surprised me. What was holding me back was the suitcase weight I could only find for Cub Cadet and some other tractors, not Husqvarna. So I took a chance on fairly universal one from Amazon and after laughing at how they shipped me over a hundred pounds of cement for free in 2 days, I put it together and with just a little stretching effort and needing to drill only 2 holes, it fit like a glove. The coolest thing is it has its own trailer hitch pin hole and it is way stronger than the tractor trailer lip. So you never need to take it off and you get a stronger setup. When it snow this year, I will have to try to get some videos of the new setup on here. Daytime highs are already in the 30's this year so we are not far off!
Looks like you put more weight on then the tires. How much weight did you add to the back
Was about 100 pounds of sand plus each wheel weight was 10 or 15 pounds I think? It has been awhile since I saw the numbers
2.57 stupid
old jeep wagon with harrow tire
I adapted a sabre snowblower to my yth 150. Works pretty good.
If you do this make sure you clear the snow off the grill so your car can regulate temperatures
*Great snowblower!>>>**t.co/rcDL3w3qZr** Used in quite a few different storms in the Boston area. It’s been a life saver! Fast! Easy to start and just works!*
Then you went to a Canadian snow video and laughed at this one
Sears tractors are made by AYP a Husqvarna group. Husqvarna and Sears use the same blower just differnt labeling.
yep I had a craftsman riding mower. I would buy the Husqvarna parts they fit and were cheaper. When the local sears stores closed all i could get were Husqvarna parts.
*_Exactly what I needed.>>>_**_t.co/GoFRhIeprx_**_ Starts right up every time and is the perfect size for my 1/3 acre property._*
I have the same tractor as you and I am looking for a snowblower. And I was wondering what brand of snow blower is that and where did you find it
It was many years ago and yes, it's still working this year, no complaints! I did a quick search for the equal to it and believe sears.com still sells the same thing. www.sears.com/craftsman-dual-stage-snow-blower-tractor-attachment/p-07124837000P?plpSellerId=Sears&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1 The have a model fit chart on the listing. Mine is a Sears Craftsman I bought from the Sears store back when Sears had stores... so sad. But anyway, that's a different video. From what I have seen, almost all lawn tractors are universally the same when it comes to frames, transmissions, and engines. This Craftsman blower to me looks identical to the Agri-Fab which looks identical to the Husqvarna blower attachment so all 3 would probably work and usually there is a fit chart that says what they are compatible with. Also, these "universal kits" are universal for a reason. They come with many extra parts or at least mine did when I got it. I got extra bolts and pulleys and belts and other items so I basically used the different pieces that fit the best from that packages so my tractor ended up looking like the pictures in the install manual. There are some parts that are a one time install thing that stay on the tractor. The rest of the parts easily hook on and off for easy removal. It's not bad switch in and out for winter or installing the blower for the first time. Just takes some attention and a little push and pull. The one I got is a 42 inch. At the time there was a 48 inch and now I see it looks like that went into a 50 inch. I only have experience with this 42 inch but I assume it's all about the same ball game. Thanks for watching the videos! Good luck in your! I have to say, it is super fun to use and I secret hope for feet of snow every year because it's kind of fun to use!
GOT one,in Minnesota
which way snow flys is not to get snow vovered just my humbledd opinion
That's neat I want 1 for my 24k54
The guy in the red jeep is a wingnut. You keep guy need to get some brain, yes the Dana locker is one of the best diffs but GMC with G80 can't be beat.
What are you talking about? A G80 is fine for everyday use, but can certainly be beat. You have to spin before it locks in, and that's not always a good thing. Sometimes you want to lock it in manually and have it to start. No serious off road vehicle has an automatic locker. They have selectable on demand.
You’re all adopted
Nice vid bro
i love when people spend 60k+ on a vehicle but can't bother to put the proper tires on them, a la land cruiser? 85K with junk tires? come on! that thing is a beast in the snow and you go and screw it all up.
You’re adopted
Man, this is MY playground. It's like the Dukes of Hazard - only it's with a 4WD truck.
what year is your tractor? trying to figure out if the blowers they sell now will fit my 2010 Husqvarna...
It is a 2006. I cannot say for sure if this blower will fit a 2010 but my guess would be yes. It is flexible and mostly universal, the one I bought. And tractor frames in general are quite universal in nature as well. When I bought my snow blower attachment, it came with multiple pulleys, 2 different belt lengths, and many packages of bolts of various lengths. Even then though, I had to make a few different trial and error combinations of all the different possible configurations of pulleys, bolts, bolt holes, and belts. The good news is 1) I didn't have to drill any holes as there were many holes along the frame to choose from and always something close enough by and 2) Once you get it hooked up and working, everything stays together so it is just lift on and lift off with 6 pins and keys.
promates5199 thanks!
