Chalk and mineral paints are easier to strip when there is no primer beneath them. That was the reason I did not prime them first.

Yes, you can use the iron on method but on low/medium dry heat (no steam).

You can use a topcoat on top of the paint if it will be a high use area. You do need to seal the decoupage so most times people seal the entire piece then

Our Crackle is water based. It's a 2 part crackle and you can get different size cracks by how thick you put on the step 1. Put it on thicker and get larger cracks (it will also take longer to get tacky before you apply step 2 also). You wont to apply step 2 once step 1 is tacky (about 30mins to an hour, depending on weather conditions). After you apply step 2, you just wait and it will dry so you can apply our great glazes to really accentuate the cracks
