I know all these comments are grown ups but I’m not. I am an 11 year old who is obsessed with journey and I love watching their old videos but my favorite is Neal Schon. And it truly stabs my heart that he got plastic surgery I really liked his old smile and it will never be the same. It’s just sad

Obviously not the same. But the tenor of his voice reminds people of when they loved those songs. That in itself is what fans yearned for in previous singer replacements.

What gets me is all these Perry fans who are still hanging on to him. He simply cannot sing the material anymore. I take care of an elderly lady his age and she wears diapers and uses a Cane for god sakes. Steve Augeri or however you say his name was there for years after Perry left and he is on a video where he came to meet Arnel in his dressing room. He was so nice to Arnel.mPerry left his fans high and dry. Journey didn't do anything to keep him from playing yet you blame them? I have a brand new appreciation for Jon and Neal because they still play even though all you haters spend time watching their interviews bashing and hating. Try love. People also need to realize, if Steve Perry came back now, his voice has changed (natrually, it has been 30 years). You STILL wouldn't really get the Journey from the 80s. All good things must end.

Glen DiRienzo No, it's not. Have you heard his voice recently? He can't hit the same high register anymore. They would have to play everything in a lower key for him now and everyone would be complaining that the songs don't sound the same. Best to remember Journey at their peak.
Im fully aware of it. People would have to understand that he can't sing like he used to 30 years ago. I've been watching Steve's performance with the Eels in LA. Might not have his upper register notes but, has everything else. Like i said before, if he ever got back with Journey. Box office records will be broken. I put big money on it.

Steve Perry can never match Arnel Pineda's powerful Voice. Arnel Pineda is the best, that's why AP Journey's vocalist for 15 years because he's better vocalist than SP.
Arnel will never "be going" to be Steve, right because Arnel is Arnel Pineda who held and continue to hold together the group of the "big boys" that was starting to disintegrate. And thanks to him, they are still there rocking and rolling at the top!!

Anyhow I'm not going to spend time searching on this topic so why don't you offer one good example of how they screwed Steve. Also, I do agree, Steve was irreplaceable, and I do enjoy this new lad. And, oh yeah, I do remember the media putting out a rumor of Steve having AIDS back in the day but to think these guys would've intentionally done that... no way.
ok.. one example is Steve had to have hip surgery and he did not want to rush it and they told him either get the hip surgery or we go on without you.. they could not even wait for their LEADING band member to get better.. it all comes down to the money. its all good though. i am sure they all did some bad things to each other.. time to move on :) i just like Steve better is all..

I will not go see Journey. And the worse thing to do to Steve Perry. Is to replace him. And there was some ugly things behind the scene with Journey. And I Just wrote off the new Journey in 2000. I like the newer Music. And sometimes get out the original Journey Albums .play them on my DJ Turntable. It sucks thst a band turned on Steve. And I do feel how everyone feels. And I am going to leave it lie. And listen to updated music. In a rock band. Wrote a lot of rock songs. And leave Journey lie.

the band didn't even want Steve Perry, they didn't want a f*****g crooner, and didn't want his music style. They fought him on presenting his songs until he became an overnight sensation, prior they were nothing. Shame on all of the band, you couldn't pay me to go hear them. Loyalty of a backstreet cat....no gratitude, no ethics, no morals, its all about the money.
