James: Faith in Action - Wisdom for Daily Life

The letter is structured around short, impactful teachings that are rich in metaphors and memorable phrases. Key themes include the importance of genuine faith demonstrated through actions, the pursuit of divine wisdom, the necessity of controlling one's speech, and the call to live humbly and justly.

Ephesians 1:7 says, “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.”
Mary does not have a husband
Matthew 1:18-25 puts it this way. 18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being lal a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. 20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name la Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." 22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us." 24 Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, 25 and a did not know her till she had brought forth herlel firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS. For reference you check out biblegateway.com

My favorite player and I'm a Giants fan.
Our favorite player is not always on our favorite team. I have found that the case through playing fantasy baseball. I am Cubs fan, but not many on my team
I was at this game
I need to get to more games this year, missing way too many and my MLBTV has an IP address issue blacking out all the games.

Great play thanks for the upload!

You got to see a good one. I am hoping to get to more games in 2024.
Foul Ball
Yes it was! Not reviewable, but seems like it should be at least on run scoring plays.
Yes it was tipped. Get the ball first then talk to the umpire.
Your right!
Saw this live yesterday, terrible break for the rangers. Glad it didn’t cost them the game.
It would have been a good game to watch for sure!
Hello! Checking in on how your Fitness Challenge is going? Update on me... started Dec.1st at 292 down to 247 trying to maintain a 3lb a week loss. I am 49 and want to be 190 by my 50th in mid October. That would be a huge accomplishment, I have not weighed that since being a sophmore in high scool. Thanks for the videos and hope things are going well.
(should go back, cant even spell school correctly)
First off, congratulation on your success!! I have not been below 200 in decade plus, so hoping 190-195 by the end of this challenge. I plan to add an update this weekend, with four weeks completed I am down 14 pounds and 1.1 inches in the waist and 1.7 off the stomach as of March 10th. Very please with those results so far and taking pictures so I have a visual and fortunately I can see the changes. Not sure I will ever post them as they are shirtless photos, enjoying the challenge and learning from it. A change I have made, I started doing a 5-6 hours or so of a morning fast (meaning I don't eat until lunch). To help with the hunger, I take C-Burn from Redcon1 first thing of a morning. This Sunday will be week 5, but my update will most likely be on weeks 1-4 and then I will do a later update on weeks 5-8 and follow up with the total changes from the 12 weeks. Thie four week update is delayed a bit due to the weeks work travels.
My man.. super proud of you! Your honesty and transparency is why I feel so comfortable and confident during my journey. I have been doing close to the same . As soon as I open my eyes I head to the elliptical for a 35 min cardio, and on Tuesday and Thursday a heavy weight training alternating muscle groups after work. I intend to add 1 more day of weights (as soon as I get a couple more minutes of me time)Drink at least a gallon of water daily and stay below my LoseIt daily calorie limit. Mostly focusing on whole natural foods. Appreciate the motivation and cannot wait to hit my goal, not forgetting to enjoy the ride!!!
@@NeilR-s6b i appreciate your comments. I can assure you I will always try my best to give the most honest and transparent feedback I can about my journey. I hope that something I share can help you. I am 50 now, similar starting point and similar final goal. If I can get results, with the success you have already achieved, I am confident your success will continue. Here are a few things that have helped me. One product I use that I like is C-Burn by redcon1. As far as a workout I love is the LIIFT More program from Beachbody. I used that and LIIFT 4 when I when I went from 290 to 215 Oct 22 to April 23. I still use LIIFT More and Beachbody, actually I just completed the chest and back by Joel Freeman in the Iron block. I even use his workouts in hotel fitness centers. My wife and daughter’s boyfriend also go to planet fitness. When I joined the challenge, they also gave us several workouts which I pull from at the gym or fitness center.

Don’t know what that is.
Let’s get it!!!
Results are not always easy, but well worth it!!
One, 6 pounds down from the weigh in. Not sure how this body will hold up, but it’s 6k in cash to the winner and let’s just say, I may not win, but I am not going to go slack and let someone win either. Until Snow today, it’s been 12k + steps per day and average of one workout with weights per day. Breaking it down into 30-35 minute blocks by muscle group to not over train yet stay active daily.
@@Robert_Armstrong Use this challenge to uncover those exercises and movements that you truly enjoy doing…..that’s the key to sustainability. Contrary to popular belief, walking daily is King! Stay motivated - good things are sure to follow!
@@youlup That is exactly what I am doing and making adjustments as a result. Actually even eating a bit more as result of advice from the challenge yet went from 226 to 212 in 4 weeks and can see the physical changes in the photos. Is getting to where if I miss a workout due to travel, I might double dip the next day (morning and evening) because I hate to miss it. Trying to make this part of my expected weekly routine.
Without talking much about it other than a note in the description, This kicked off ZepBound 2.5mg for me. Update, I was 231.8 the day I took the shot, my weight is now 226.8 (so some water weight in that), but changes are under way. Today was my first HIIT exercise. Slight pain, so went 18-20 minutes, but slowly working back up to where my training was. Just started the workout, so no impact on weight loss at this point. Also back to tracking food with LoseIt since shot day.
I recently started taking creatine it seems to make me eat more to.
Have you noticed positive changes since starting creating? If so, what brand are you taking and are you taking HCL or Monohydrate?
i feel like ive got stronger. brand is TRANSPARENT CREATINE HMB. it doesnt have alot of the extras crap like the other ones do. @@Robert_Armstrong
ive wondered how youve been. glad your trying to get back at it. maybe try a chiropractor to help with your back. one that stretches u out cracks your back. i go once a month at least sometimes more if my back is acting up. i have to 2 herinated disc.
Things are looking up and your suggestion is the path I did choose to follow. I went to a chiropractor at the end of the year until I used my allotted insurance coverage. They would do a massage on the back every visit as well. Glad that helps you as well! My wife and I are building a routine to start next week (she’s a bit under the weather this week). I wanted to go without the assistance of a shot, but to get back to a stronger start here in 2024 I picked up the 2.5 MG of ZepBound today. I realized a long the way when I put the extra back on, if I ate something like candy I wanted more. The TRT (which I stopped) caused increased hunger and that job change stress caused extra eating, had I not been hurt and kept up my workout, I might not have gained, but I would have potentially kept a bad habit. I consider this part of the process that in the end may help me keep my guard up. I will go back to posting a few of these updates. Wishing you the best in 24.
When do I know when the battery is fully charged?
Going from memory on this model as I am out of town and did not bring it on this trip, but the light around the power button goes solid and no longer flashes when fully charged.
@@Robert_Armstrong thanks!!
I can truly relate. UA-cam has changed my life, my outlook on my health, and my accountability status in ways I can’t explain. Life is full of obstacles, but it’s how you pull yourself through them that counts and you have pulled yourself through!!❤❤❤
I told my wife the other night, now that I am focused on turning the corner and getting back to where I was and beyond, it will be different this time. Not only different, losing 75, then having a brief time gaining (challenge) and losing that again to finally reach an ultimate goal is just part of the journey and one that in the end will create a greater since of accomplishment. I agree with you, its not the challenges we face, it how we rise up to meet them head on and tackle them to pull ourselves through.
@@Robert_Armstrong❤❤❤yes! I can’t wait to see your progress and how you accomplish your goals!
Hey! Glad to see you are back and doing well. ❤❤❤ much success to you on your journey!!
Thank you! I always knew obstacles would come, but never expected two or three to stack on top of each other at the same time causing the levee to break and allow bad habits flow freely. It was 16 pounds I did not want to gain, but I am glad it was not the 30 plus it could have been like in the past. I think many changed habits helped with that, so while some bad habit started, not all the good habits left. I have always hoped someone could find a nugget or two from my journey to help themselves, but I never truly realized how accountable the videos made me. I hope all is going well for you!
Thanks for the update, Robert. I have been wondering how you’re getting on. I am sorry to hear you have experienced some bumps in the road. I have always admired your focus and I have no doubt you will be able to refocus and get back on track. Good luck and please continue to share.
Thank you! Since posting that video, outside some awesome Christmas fudge, I have stopped the candy that was stress go to (shame on me), but I have dropped a pound in the past 5/6 days since what is becoming a self accountability video. I am not "back" back yet with my focus, but I have fortunately stopped the gaining and candy while getting closer to the right mindset. I hope all is going well for you!!
I Started Mounjaro 3 weeks ago and have used your videos as a guide for what to expect. Be proud of yourself, get healed up and keep the videos (and accountabilty) coming. Thank you for your honesty and courage. Happy Holidays!
Thank you very much! I wish you great success on your journey. Mounjaro was a life changer for my wife and me. My wife and I were just discussing the things that helped us achieve many of our initial goals, Mounjaro being a key component to go with multiple fitness and nutrition changes. Since hurting myself, I have mostly gone to Planet Fitness with my wife where I can focus on muscle groups while I healed. That has allowed me to get stronger, but it has not been the same calorie burn. I think healed enough now that in January (not a new years resolution) I can return to being more active with my workouts, going to do a balance of Planet Fitness and the workouts that helped me achieve my results. My wife and I are going to make 2024 a year of focus to improve our overall fitness levels. Maybe one of these days I can convince her to join me for a video where we talk about what has worked for both of us (similarities and differences). Best of luck and wishing you great success. Wishing you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Keep up the fight!
Thanks for the encouragement!
Storybook!
If the Cubs find their way into the playoffs this year, this will be one the remembered moments for sure. What and exciting ending!
Javier who?
Javy was fun to watch at times, but Morel you can get excited for him. You can just tell he enjoys and appreciates the game as well as life in general. Morel is an easy player to root for.
Javier who ?
Javier is sure not the player he was Chicago. I enjoyed watching him play, but would not enjoy watching the Javy plays in Detroit.
The big rig is awesome
He is real talent! Key player for the future on my fantasy team too.
This gets me hyped
They have been playing in a way to justify that hyped feeling! I have sure enjoyed watching the surge and get that same sense of excitement.
Bout time the Cubs take this game seriously.
They have definitely not played at a level this team should have all year. Nothing clicked as a whole for the longest time, they seem to be upping the play now, just hope it’s not too late and they trade guys away. The month Bellinger was out was a rough one, they sure are better with him. Seiya made a nice catch here, but he has more ability than he has consistently shown as well. Hoping for better days ahead and real soon.
I have lost 121 lbs on Manjuro! I still weigh 315! I want to get to 220! I don’t know if I will ever go off Manjuro as long as my insurance will cover it! I am a lot like you I workout 5-6 days a week and I chart everything that I eat! I do wish much luck in your journey!
First off, congratulations on the 121 pounds lost, that is amazing! Hopefully you can continue to have coverage for Mounjaro. Staying on Mounjaro was not an option for me, but if I could have, I would have definitely considered staying on it longer as it is such a game changer and provides so many benefits. When it comes to the working out, doing general task are so much different these days after the weight loss and the added endurance and strength from the workouts. Now, it’s even simple things like not thinking about the closer parking spot. I also never realized how unhealthy I looked to others at times. We were moving a year ago and family would be like, “you better rest a few minutes” or “you better let them handle that.” No one does that anymore, because the weight loss and working out have been true game changers. It’s taken some adjustments, but post Mounjaro success is possible if it comes to that. I have lost 2.6 inches from my waist in the past three months post Mounjaro primary from the workouts, even at a closer to maintenance level of calories, so the working out makes a difference in post Mounjaro success. My weight sets right about 210 pounds, can be a couple pounds less and a couple more, but 210 has been the stabilized point in the national fluctuations. Continued success to you!

Why people think it's a good idea to try to talk and blast music in the background is beyond me. I'm watchable too distracting
Sorry you find the music distracting. It was actually set at a very low setting, somewhere around 3-5% which is typically just a background noise cover. Not sure why this one would be louder. @@Jacob-jv2cj I agree, the reaction is funny.
Happ hasn’t played in his last ASG. Dude has become such a well rounded ballplayer with more playing time. His OBP and walks this year are insane. A huge part of the Cubs and their future.
I agree 100%. Happ is just good a multiple aspects of the game. Well rounded and winning type player. The better the team gets, the better he will be.
Alzolay to Amaya. Future closer to the future catcher. Gotta love it!
Showing some clear signs of being that tandem. Alzolay appears to be taking the job now and it won't be long for Amaya either. Amaya has been more impressive than the minor league numbers and he could be more than just that good defender ok hitter
@Robert_Armstrong 100%. The stuff is definitely there for Alzolay, I'd like to see him miss more bats but he seems to be receptive of his new role. I'd like to see Amaya get more playing time as well, but with Gomes and Barnhart signed, it makes sense.
