Out of curiosity being I'm looking to buld Something similar. What kind of fuel economy you getting daily driving it? I'm currently daily driving a lq4 silverado that has been rust eaten and think I may stroke and swap the drive train into a Colorado. It's got to be better than the 13 mpg of the 1500hd.

I’m currently working on my 99 s10 zq8 stepside just pulled out my ol 4banger and tranny that was in it and I have a Lq4 LS 5.3 that I’m working on putting in the (lil 10) But what tranny should I go with from junk yard to work well with it ? Gonna take a while to get running but Enjoy y’all’s channel

Enjoyed the video! You said you were going to try e98, I wonder if as long as your IATs are not too high if it would have less back pressure with E50ish? 15% less fuel volume is going in then it might reduce back pressure? I would like to know your thoughts.

Not a rack, that is called a center link. Also found with the lower control arm from TRZ I lost 2" of extension over using QA1 lowers with the TRZ uppers. Reason being the shock mount is so low that the shock was limiting factor on extension travel. This is also not a good idea to let the shock fully extend. Another thing if a flat tire the control arm will be the truck lands on? Using those 1" longer upper ball joints on the TRZ uppers and QA1 lowers U will gain an additional inch, but with the TRZ lowers the Coil over shock will not go any lower.

That was a close race, amazing how well the 4.3 v6 turbo is still really fast. Twin turbos or a supercharger with a turbo on top might be a good step up. Used to Oshkosh made a military big rig with a V8 Detroit Diesel with a supercharger with a turbo on top of the supercharger that was a real beast.

Hey brother, nice truck! I've done a couple awd conversions on the 4x4 s10 platform using the cyclone/ bravada system. I never figured out how to swap one on a colorado. Is yours all time awd, or are you using 4x4 for the strip and then back to rwd after the race? Time to watch some more of your videos!
