Looks great! I went to Canaan Valley today, and the conditions did not disappoint! Lots of great powder. I’m moved here last year, in mid-March, and am glad to see we’re getting some serious snow!

Mid-A is eating good right now! Want to check this place out at some point on one of my WV trips, maybe as a side day trip. Looks pretty nice with everything opened up and some solid tree skiing! The Cat got a good dump with this little southern storm we had this week(although where I'm at it underperformed with only an inch of ice...not the 6+ inches we were supposed to get, lol) so looks like they are fully open now. Going to have to try to get out some more these next couple of weeks. Another Canaan trip is in order toward the end of January now that they have Gravity and some other trails opened up.

I was very pleasantly surprised by Massanutten back in 2014. It was two days after the Pitchers & Catchers day storm and a blue bird day. I probably skied better that day than I ever have that day. Stretching every day makes a difference! I did a half day two seasons ago after a March squall. I'm really eager to see the new trails.

Wish we could get a little snow up here at Sunday River. If you get back up this way shoot me a dm. Always good to meet stoke squadders!

I like timberline better but lemme tell ya if it's a powder day, im going to canaan all the way. Honestly if (and only if) canaan had more snowmaking infrastructure id like it more than timberline. But because half their trails are natural snow only and it's less crowded, than imo it's a no brainer. Btw i did go to timberline last week and uhh i had a..."fun" time...that's all ill say lol

That place is a 4.5/5 with enough Natural Snow, when all 47 trails are open its one of the best in the Mid A that I've been too.

I have done a couple of half-days there and only been on the blues and greens. They are pretty good if there is snow , but thats a big if. We did well with lessons for the kids though.

I must have just missed you, was there New Year's day just before the big snow hit. We had a mini-storm go through that knocked out power at the lodge. Skied Timberline Jan 2nd and it was unreal, can only imagine how it was after the big snow. Sadly Canaan only had the one trail from top to bottom open...they always get a huge dump after I leave, lol.

Another nice one! I have that Timberline hat now lol. I've only ever done a night ski at Canaan and a summer lift ride. Rode my first black there by accident at night lol. What was the date of your visit? We were out at Timberline for a couple days earlier this week.

Hidden Valley is where I ski every weekend in the winter and I am on the race team!
