The submarine is the U.S.S. Razorback SS-394. She was launched in 1944 and served on patrols during World War II. In 1970 she was sold to Turkey, until she was sold to the City of Little Rock Arkansas in 2004. The Razorback is open for tours, and there is a dockside small museum attached. The Junction Bridge used to be a train crossing, and was converted into a walking bridge in 2008. At night there is a multi-colored light show on all the bridges, every hour after 8pm and lasting about 1 minute each time.

I was just there in Arkansas last summer. Loved it. I kind of want to move there. Man I am so glad you're off the stuff. I've never done it but I lost a son and a brother to it. You're not weighted down to one spot...you can sleep and live high on a mountain, or sleep and live on a country road ... You can go out of state and visit family with your rolling home... It rolls where you roll... You aren't stuck anywhere... And if you get tired of dealing with folks wherever you roll, you can step out into your rolling home.... And shut the whole world out...
